“Great stay”

My husband and I really enjoyed our time here, we booked for one night but stayed two and will most definitely be back in the future again. You have a stunning view from the room, an amazing breakfast in the morning and a great little pool to cool down in. The family running the place is great, we’ve been treated super well. We also ended up having dinner both evenings as the food was super tasty. I would highly recommend a stay.

Beachfront via some steps. Excellent views of beach, peaceful. Swimming pool a bonus.

The beach was quite and good for swimming. Swimming pool was clean and nice. Restaurant and food also good with a view overlooking the beach. We watched the fruit bats feeding while eating dinner. Patio outside room was great for reading as in the shade.

Wonderful location, really lovely staff, nice food in the restaurant with a great view over the bay. Facilities basic, but fine - comfy bed, eg). Just a really nice, good-vibes place to stay.

Freedom was a peaceful escape from what had been a very chaotic trip to Sri Lanka up till then. The family running it is super helpful and honestly lovely, the rooms are basic, clean, have a GREAT mosquito net and all have a sitting area in front of them. (The green floor is not a rug, as someone else had written, but colored concrete, making it super easy to clean). We booked for two nights and ended up staying 10 nights. The beach is clean!!! Because we read something about fishermen in another review and almost didn't book because of our experience with a fisherman beach elsewhere: the fishermen don't take up the whole beach, it doesn't smell, you don't even notice they're there. And the waves are medium-high, but can still be comfortably swum in. My husband had to go to the hospital while we were staying there and Naila, the owner's niece, arranged everything, and offered to translate if necessary. She's great! We felt taken care of and would highly suggest booking! Ah: the steps to the beach are really not as extreme as other people's reviews make them seem, we ended up loving them, as they are what give the restaurant the gorgeous view (none of the other hotels at Talalla has a view). There's also a little market nearby where you get everything you need, and the surrounding restaurants were also really great. All-in-all: book!

The location overlooking the beach was exceptional. The staff were wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The food in the restaurant was lovely too. The room was basic and had everything we needed for a nights stay. The pool behind the accommodation looked inviting, however with such a quick visit we didn’t get opportunity to go in it.

Such a lovely place to visit. So close to the beach! Rooms were basic but liveable. Good breakfast!

I had an amazing stay with my family here, we actually wanted to stay more nights but it was fully booked! Clean swimming which my daughter loved, incredible breakfast with amazing views of the sea! We tried many restaurants in Talalla beach and the one in the resort was the best one by far, both in terms of food quality, variety and service (find Treetop restaurant in google maps or your favourite app). Direct access to the beach, which it's really beautiful and not as busy as other beaches in the area! You can order tuk tuks using uber or pickme to visit other places. I will recommend this place to all my friends!

The lokation is fantastic, the pool is great. The nature and the beach is so peace full. Loved this place.

We loved the view of the beach from the dining area. The property had some nice trees frequented by monkeys, hornbills and parrots. The swimming pool was spotlessly clean and you could see a partial view of the sea through the trees. We were there 2 nights. We stayed in a non a/c room the first night and found it too hot so we moved to an a/c room for the second night. The a/c worked well, the room was more spacious and the bathroom less basic.

Location was excellent with a beautiful view from the restaurant it is on the side of a hill about 30 steps to get down to the beach Breakfast was delicious and changed every morning Staff happy and helpful Good clean pool Rooms are very basic but the view is to die for Lots of cheeky monkeys in the trees I would go back for sure very relaxing

We loved the location, and the pool, the rooms are basic but comfortable, the breakfast is excellent. The meals and drinks are very nice and the staff are very friendly. If you just want to chill for a few days this is the place for you.

“Most magical stay on our trip”

The most beautiful location in Talalle with alot of wildlife and beautiful huge trees. Food was always very good (Sri Lankan options). The rooms were very nice and clean. Keep in mind that it's not a luxury resort therefore you can't have crazy expectations.
