“A wonderfully relaxing beach stay where I felt genuinely cared for from start to finish”

Fantastic breakfast each morning, with fresh fruit, coffee or tea, and toast with jam plus a great variety of extras like pancakes/“hoppers,” eggs, homemade yoghurt, and more. Each evening, Nilmini surprised me with a lovely dinner; since I don’t eat meat, she prepared delicious meals with fresh fish and a wide variety of vegetables. I felt truly well taken care of, and she also helped me book tuk-tuks for sightseeing, transfers, massages, and more. It was a very relaxing, calm stay right on the beach, and I hope to return soon

Great, basic place to stay right on the very remote Talalla beach. The staff is so so nice, you immediately feel like at grandma’s home! We went for a grocery shopping together and we ate all the dinners and breakfasts there, because it is the best food! Very recommended.

“Idyllic beach house with gorgeous views”

Talalla Bay Beach House is a gem and I felt really happy to be staying there. Emma was absolutely wonderful in communication even before my stay had started which gave me such a great peace of mind before travelling. The location is idyllic, set in the trees overlooking the beautiful beach and sea. You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing which is so relaxing. To get to the property you walk across the beach and the hosts helped me with my bags which was great and super helpful. Also, as a solo female traveller, I really appreciated the guard keeping a look out when I came back later in the evening when it was dark along the beach. Nilmini's food was absolutely wonderful, home cooked style vegetable curries and rice. Some of the best food I ate in Sri Lanka. Overall, it felt like a (beautiful) home away from home during my travels.

“Perfect place to stay to relax on the beach”

Location, location, location. It was literally three paces, then 10 steps and you’re on the beach/in the sea. The beach is outstanding, very clean and quiet. Highly recommend eating at the house as all the food is cooked fresh, takes them about three hours, and is absolutely delicious.

Excellent location couldn’t get any nearer the beach, lovely team of people looking after you, food was excellent and authentic Sri Lanka especially dinner, peaceful and quiet, breakfast was in a beautiful setting , just an awesome atmosphere all the time and smiles all the time from the team.

We felt very lucky to be staying in such an idyllic place: the best view, incredibly delicious food and lovely ladies looking after us. We loved waking up at sunrise and going for walks along the beach and having many heavenly swims in the sea.

Amazing location (i think the best on Talalla beach), hosts are amazing and breakfast is very good. We highly recommend this accomodation and if one day we are back to Talalla, we will be there again.

It was a special and beautiful place. Nilmini and her crew are amazing people. The food was delicious. Actually I thought it's more like a German-called Ferienhaus. But it isn't. But for me it doesn't matter. I ve really enjoyed it there. Talalla and the beach house is a peacefully and quite place.

Such a wonderful place, at the seaside, cozy rooms with fan, different nice seating places for reading a book. The beach is great to have a morning walk and a swim later. Not crowded, mix tourists and locals, fishing boats… we extended our stay with 2 days. And then we have Milnini and her staff, what a lady and excellent cook, and taking care of everything you need.

The property is in a stunning location with beautiful views across Talalla Bay, particularly from the upper room we were in. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, the welcome drink was much appreciated and the evening curry we opted for was nice and tasty. The room also had filtered water provided which was great and very environmentally friendly gesture. All in all, an excellent choice and we would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future.
