A lovely setting across the road from Talalla South Beach. Villas set in a coconut plantation. Very friendly staff , Mr Kumara was the Manager and he was very attentive to any requirements.

“Great venue, great value”

We held a party for over 40 people here, the staff were amazing, really looked after us well. They helped set up a delicious buffet for us. They even set up a beach cricket setup for us, super fun.

“Relax and rewind”

We had 10 nights here. Superb location in a coconut plantation with lots of wildlife. Gorgeous birds (including storks and eagles in a tree just outside the walls), many peacocks. Lots of monitors & other lizards. A troupe of langur monkeys came through one day. Didn't see the porcupines or mongooses that also live the area though we did see a mongoose nearby. Sarath and his team were really lovely & super helpful. Breakfast was great - tea, coffee, pancakes, fruit & toast & jam, eggs. Whatever you wanted. The rooms were lovely and spacious. All had great views over the well kept gardens. Any problems were fixed promptly eg the water wasn't hot on one day, but was fixed as soon as we let the manager know. (thanks Sarath). The pool area was perfect for cooling off and relaxing while watching the birds, palm squirrels and other wildlife. The beach opposite the accommodation was just beautiful. Handun have a cafe/restaurant on the beach which is convenient. There are other places to eat along the beach too. Will stay again if/when we return to Sri Lanka.

“Great location and potential but didn’t make it all the way”

The potential is huge. Our room was nice and the garden was well kept. Close to a fantastic beach without crowds and just the amount of businesses needed to provide great lunches and dinners.

The property and grounds were lovely, the spacious rooms were presented beautifully. It was like being in our own wild life park, fabulous pool and friendly staff. Peaceful location, private and secluded and only one minute walk to the beach.

“Nice plot but nothing to do in Talalla.”

Generally it was a nice property, with amazing land, very green. Pool is nice. It was a peaceful place to chill during the day. The staff were attentive. There was an amazing seafood restaurant on the beach (not part of the hotel), we loved it. It was our anniversary, and the staff upgraded us to a lovely room, and made our room very special for our arrival. If you’re looking for a quiet stay, not too far from Hiriketiya then this would be perfect for you.

“Don't miss this place”

Excellent location for the beach. The accommodation was well laid out and we had an open air bathroom with free standing roll top bath in which you could relax and watch the night sky. The pool was nice and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful however their English is a little lacking but you soon worked out who to see to get what you wanted. Breakfast was copious and they would always try and accommodate your requirements. The place is set in a coconut plantation so we had fresh coconut water with our breakfast. We had a couple of meals there in the evening and they offered us the opportunity to have a table on the beach, which we accepted and it was a lovely evening.

“Paradise found!”

The very quiet Gardens, the lovely breakfasts, beautiful empty beach, lovely pool and courteous attentive staff. We had a gorgeous room with an out door,roll top bath. If you're looking for a quiet beach, this will hit the spot. The waves are strong so probably best for confident swimmers though you won't have to be an Olympian! The main house is also gorgeous with an airy colonial vibe. Evening meals can be taken at the beach restaurant over the road ( not a busy road). The place is gated with a 24hour watch for the security minded. Various swings, hammocks and board games dotted around. Peacocks, bee-eaters, monitor lizards and chipmunks abound. Heard a Coppersmith Barbet but didn't see it. Fruit bats fly over at sunset. Heaven!

The view from pool was marvelous and love the first sight of the room. Beach we didn't get the opportunity to view the Beach.

“A beautiful building but a tired hotel that needs a refurbishment”

The property is very pretty with lovely gardens but tired and scruffy and desperately in need of financial investment to bring it in line with similar priced hotels.

A beautiful colonial property set in stunning grounds with monkeys roaming around at the start and end of the day. A very comfortable bed with excellent AC.

Lovely villa in the middle of a large beautiful garden with singing birds. There is silence and peace around. Great pool, large spacious rooms with outdoor bath. The whole area is a treat for the eyes The staff is humble, well trained and does everything for your comfort. Booked for three days, I decided to stay for a longer period, did not want to leave anymore

“Too much money for the accommodation!”

We like alot the property, like a personal home, very big, and the pool was amazing.
