Gabby was very warm and welcoming, making our stay feel truly special. Diva and Lucky - the on-site canine security - were a highlight for us as a family of dog lovers. The location, rooms, restaurant were all perfect - would definitely recommend!

We spent four nights in a spacious and nice ground-floor room with a small terrace facing the pool. Gaby the host, is incredibly kind and helpful, we felt at home right away.

Perfect location for families - their level of service in general is top! Breakfast choice is very broad (what is not always the case in Srilanka) - and the pool can rescue your day when Talalla waves are too big for your kids.

“Great place to stay, very relaxing!”

The staff are amazing, really friendly. We had a lovely room by the pool which was cleaned beautifully every day. Breakfast was a varied fruit plate and we chose an omelette each morning which was delicious.Paid extra for specialist coffee, but reasonably priced.The two dogs are friendly and caused no issues. Very close to the beach.

A calm and quiet stay, clean and spacious room. Beautiful setting and delightful pool. Short walk to the lovely bay with sandy beach. The staff and dogs were very friendly. Gaby and her team were extremely helpful

This is an excellent and charming boutique hotel. I stay in a lot of properties booked through booking.com and hardly ever give a score of ten. Rather it is 8 for very good and 9 for excellent. Only then is there room to reward the real gems with a 10. This was just such a gem. Big, comfy rooms. Cute swimming pool. Charming owner. Great staff. And a 2 minute walk from a beautiful beach. Almost perfect.

Exceptional place run by lovely the Gaby and her team, the spacious room and balcony was superb, the pool and garden were most welcome as was the closeness to the beach. The breakfast was delicious and it was great having the option of eating there in the evening. Really enjoyed the early morning yoga session on the upper terrace with fantastic views. We will return.

“Lovely stay”

Lovely large 2 bed apartment with amazing views. Kitchen and seating area. Spa area right next door and also yoga each morning. Lovely restaurant focusing on Italian food but also had other choices. Nice swimming pool and a very short walk to a fantastic beach with free sun beds. The sea can be a little rough sometimes for swimming.

“Gorgeous hotel with wonderful staff”

Garden villa, as per the name, is set in a beautiful lush green garden with a wonderful pool and comfy sun loungers with pool towels alongside. My room was exceptional with even the smallest details considered. The mattress and pillows were comfy, I had a large wardrobe, plug sockets near the bed, a safe, fridge and beautiful large bathroom with practical storage for everything you could need. The room is stocked with a hairdryer, a yoga mat and an umbrella. There was a lovely private terrace where you can sit out and enjoy the sun and a wooden clothes rack to dry wet swimsuits etc. Nothing is too much to ask of the Garden Villa team. I was volunteering for a local charity and Gaby and her team put on an early breakfast for me every day for a month to make sure I could get to work on time. The restaurant serves wonderful food at a good price that I enjoyed on many occasions with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are warm and friendly and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. I would definitely stay again if I was returning to Tallala. And of course I must mentioned Lucky and Diva the labradors who were the stars of the show and I will miss their warm welcomes when I got ‘home’.

“A gem of a guest house in a great location with super kind and helpful staff”

We stayed for 9 nights and loved the whole place, talalla is super chilled and quiet with a great beach and safe swimming, I swam a1km each day. Gaby runs a super guest house with lovley big rooms, european standard bathroom, good ac and constant hot water. The on-site italian restaraunt was great and the whole place supetr friendley.

Being so close to the beach, the food was great, the staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The rooms were comfortable. The Pool is beautiful for a swim anytime.

I loved my staying at Garden Villa! The hotel has a refined decoration, they take care of every detail. Gabi and her staff were really friendly, they are very kind, helpful and make sure you have a wonderful stay: I felt like aI was at home 😊 Food was very good, tasty, with fresh ingredients. And the swimming pool, very nice! Absolutely a must go if you are in Talalla.

“Garden Oasis”

Spacious room. Beautiful gardens and pool. Wonderful hospitality. Gaby is a lovely host. Extremely kind and friendly. Her staff are quiet and unobtrusive. Loved having Diva and Lucky the house dogs around. The food cooked by the chef and Gaby's Italian was fresh and tasty. The mini bar prices are reasonable and there is a small supermarket around the corner. The location is perfectly situated just back from the beach. Gaby will help you arrange transfers, massages (onsite) and is a wealth of information. Staying here, feels like staying at Gaby's home.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, just a few steps from a beautiful beach. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very comfortable, well-equipped, and the pool is a real highlight. Special mention to the breakfast and the pizzas – simply delicious! We stayed for two nights but could have easily stayed longer.
