“Rustic and warm stay at Minshuku Shiroyama”
The property is in the countryside but it has a bus-stop which is 6 mins walk away with 2 daily buses that goes to Taketa train station where you can catch the train to Mt. Aso or to Kumamoto. It is really quiet and is connected to an onsen shared for public use. The room is large and comfortable and dinner was local specialties with substantial servings and courses. Free tea and coffee was also available for guests. The owner was very warm and helpful as we were delayed coming to the property and when we had to depart before breakfast, he made us onigiri to take along for breakfast.

Breakfast was filling & excellent variety. Our hosts were polite, friendly & very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here.
