Takayama Ninja House available for Covi d measures is located in a conservation area in one of the few historic towns remaining in Japan, where is Takayama city. It takes only a 8 minute walk to Takayama’s most famous street Sanmachi-dori. Takayama Ninja House features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. The guest house owner and It's owner (Octavio) were both truly wonderful! Between the help he gave us to plan our day trip, the well kept rooms, and the amazing local area, we couldn't have picked a better place. Octavio even gave us a ride to the train station at the end of our stay (since it was pouring rain). 10/10!

Octavio-san gave us a warm welcome and explained not only the facilities and anemnities, but also the surrounding area and the sights in detail.He speaks very good English and Spanish, so he was able to answer all our questions and give us tips about what attractions to visit and where to find good restaurants. He went out of his way to be of service: he offered us a vert good sake as a welcome drink on arrival and prepared coffee for us in the morning, then even drove us to the bus station. The house offers everything and the interior decoration is cozy and authentically Japanese at the same time, we felt very comfortable.

Loved the welcoming, can ask any information. Only 2 rooms so the shared bathroom is no issue at all. You reach all spots in 5’ walking. Loved this place!

“Great hospitality in a nice neighborhood”
Octavio was a great host. He welcomed us with a drink while we checked in, after which he showed us around the Ninja House. A very nice and authentic Japanese style house. Our room must have a really good vibe/energy, as we had one of the best sleep of our trip :D Octavio looked after us and our needs during our stay. We even got a light breakfast with coffee in the morning (which was a pleasant surprise).

“Excellent”
Octavio is the best host you could hope for — his incredibly helpful and highly communicative friendly attitude really elevated our stay in Takayama. The house is clean, well equipped, and situated in a quiet area a short walk away from the markets and restaurant area. The beds are comfy so we slept well despite the hot September heat in our air conditioned room. Also the bathroom booking system is smart and ensures your morning plans won't be delayed by other guests. Would absolutely stay here again.

“Coolest place we've stayed. Amazing owner”
We checked in late and the owner was very accommodating and helpful. One of the coolest places we stayed. It had sick art and swords and was very authentic Japanese style living. I thought the futons were very comfortable, my girlfriend not so much. Major shoutout to the owner, he even drove us to the train station for free even though he had a busy day. He gave us lots of helpful tips and points of interest in our next location.

Octavio is the best host owner of the house. Very calm and happy, gave us very good information and explanation about Takayama. Have to do booking for the shared shower. Great location! Gave us a ride to station and free of charge breakfast of coffee and toast.
