Conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, Spa Hotel Alpina offers a spa and open-air hot-spring baths with scenic views. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Onsen was good, breakfast was good, nice bright room and hotel, well located. Coffee and green tea in reception area. Bed was hard and standard double room was small, barely adequate for 2 adults but not atypical of many Japanese hotel rooms. The hotel was quiet and parking on site for a fee was easy and convenient during our 2 night stay. Good air conditioning. Walking distance to station and all other main tourist sites in Takayama. Overall would stay again but in a larger room.

Good location, nice staff who let us leave the car at the hotel and do the check-in paperwork even though we were very early and couldn’t actually access the room.

Good location, pretty close to the old town center. Clean, good space and amenities. Very nice staff. Amazing value for money.

Awesome staff, helped us with luggage transfer taking care of every detail. The public baths were wonderful. The location is superb.
