Overview
Located in the famous Okuhida hot-spring area, Nakadaya offers relaxing indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths. The traditional Japanese-style rooms feature Yukata robes and a seating area by the window. Guests can take a 15-minute bus ride from Hirayu Bus Terminal to Shin-Hirayu Onsen Bus Stop, which is located right in front of the property. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding, and some have views of the Hida Mountains. A satellite TV, a fridge, and an electric kettle with green tea bags are included. Each room comes with a private toilet, but bathrooms are shared. A sauna room and massages are available for guests, and a hot-spring bath can be reserved for private use. Guests can purchase local gifts at the souvenir shop. Complimentary herbal tea is served at the common room which features a traditional Iori fireplace. A traditional multi-course dinner is served in the guests’ rooms. A Japanese breakfast is available at the dining room. Nakadaya Inn is a 20-minute drive from Hirayu Otaki Falls, and a 10-minute bus ride from Okuhida Bear Farm. Shin Hotaka Ropeway Station is a 20-minute drive, and JR Takayama Train Station is a 80-minute drive away.

Charming ryokan with indoor and outdoor onsen that we loved so much. Location is top-notch, just across the Shinhirayu Onsen bus stop, and near Shinhotaka Ropeway. Our tatami room was large, and the included dinner and breakfast awesome. The manager and the lady serving meals were so kind and hospitable. Would love to go back and spend a few days here.
