Karin house has everything you need and you might forget when you travel with kids . Great facilities, all utensils and kitchen supply , drink wear and very generous welcome snacks and drink. If you are going TAMAKARA with family also wants to cook some dishes yourself this is the one you shouldn’t miss . Bedroom were full equipped for cold winter and pre-warm before arrival. Walked to the local supermarket is easy and it’s close to the morning market and iconic old fashioned streets .

We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous house, which was traditional in style but with all the modern conveniences you would ever need. This owner has great attention to detail, and there were nice little touches everywhere. After long days sight-seeing, we could come back to this haven and really relax with a hot tub, massage chair and large screen TV. The best house we have stayed in so far!

This was a well appointed house in the heart of Takayama. Very comfortable for the two families (six people) with multiple living areas, great couch and large tv. The three bedrooms were also good sizes. We loved our stay at this house.

Well equipped home, has everything we need. Stairs a little steep but I think that is typical of Japanese houses. Location is good, about 10 minute walk to main attractions yet away from the buzz of wandering tourists.

Very nicely decorated and well equipped for family stay with young children. Nice amenities that include a massage chair, full fledge kitchen, washing machines and dryer that allow for a long stay. 15mins walk from old town centre and restaurants.

I would highly recommend this place.

Very modern on the inside with lots of traditional items all around. Plenty of space available for my family of 4. There were 3 bedrooms with 2 beds each, we only used 2 rooms in the end. Kitchen was complete with all the utensils required for a simple meal at home. Washer and dryer is definitely a big bonus for travelling families. Lovely hot tub, definitely the most unique one we have seen!

The onsen room

Good house to support a family stay. Three bedrooms upstairs and separate bath and toilet downstairs. The round bath room is a lovely feature and warm enough. Kitchen is well supplied with equipment including coffee machine and urn. There is a dining table and tatami mat room down stairs too. It was nice to live amongst locals for a short period.

Best apartment house we've stayed in during our stay in Japan! Very cosy and comfortable, and excellent facilities! We had a really great time during our stay here!
