JAS Hotel is very well located for exploring Takayama. The staff were friendly and welcoming and our room was clean and comfortable. There are Male and Female onsen and the shower facilities are located within the onsen. The rooms and facilities at the hotel are fairly basic but it is excellent value for money.

“Great location, friendly staff and delicious breakfast”
The location is perfect, we had nice view of the city. Our room was cozy and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We ordered breakfast two times in japanese style ans it was absolutely amazing.

“This venue was charming , comfortable, great value, onsen very appreciated.”
The size of the room was okay for three adults and not too much luggage, the beds comfy, extra wool blankets great, the pillow buckwheat? wasn't a problem for my neck, the location is central and an easy walk to the main attractions. I would not recommend it for anyone with lots of luggage as access is a steep path ,but manageable for our group, 68,69,78 years old. Dining room is old style charming breakfast and lunch available and was nice to be up high with a view over Takayama.

The breakfast was delicious and different every day. It's about a 13-minute walk from Takayama station but it's very close to the river and all of the shops, so very convenient. Even though the bathroom, sinks, and shower was shared it was very clean. Everyone was also very polite and helpful.
