“Fabulous Modern Hotel with Old World Charm in an Historic Location”

Loved the design, location and hotel amenities. I walked straight out into the best part of Takayama with a convenience store just down the street. The Ryokan style bedding was a little firm and difficult for me to get up and down on but I knew this booking and still really liked the room and hotel.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff provided outstanding service. The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Takayama, within walking distance of the main attractions.

Location was perfect, staff went above and beyond, the rooms were impeccable and beds so comfortable, absolutely loved our stay here, will return again and stay longer next time!

“Great central location and good value for money”

The hotel was very close to the old town and the bridges. Other than refusing to change the booking for the previous night that we made last minute, and couldn’t make because of road closures and typhoon, the staff were friendly and helpful about the hotel and about riding up Mt Norikura. The free bar of the evening was good too.

Loved everything about this accomodation. The faculties were so clean and tidy, great location, decent room sizes. The staff were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

“Good hotel, perfectly located but I wouldn't want to stay there for more than one night”

The breakfast was a sort of standard breakfast box with a choice between a Japanese and a Western version. We had the Western version, and to be honest, it wasn't anything special. But the coffee and orange juice were fine. The hotel's location is perfect; it is situated right in the old city center.

“All in all a great place to stay”

The sake you could try in de late afternoon. The lady was adorable. The onsen was nice. The fact you could wash your clothes. The hotel was beautiful

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, good size room. Compact good clean bathroom, shower great. Lovely communal sitting area. Complimentary drink each night. Fabulous location.

Very centrally located. Right where all the action is. Staffs were very courteous and friendly. The overall experience was extremely pleasant and very satisfactory. The complimentary / on the house beer and sakes was icing on the cake.

“Elegant stay in heart of Takayama”

Right in the heart of old town. You step out the hotel and you’re within the beautiful old edo like streets of Takayama. Also very close walking distance to train station. Hotel was very elegant looking and the onsen was very relaxing.

“Absolutely perfect”

I can't fault this place. The location was perfect, the old town was just a street away and a Family Mart 2 doors down. The decor was beautiful and calming. The free drinks and sake tasting in the gorgeous lobby was a welcome bonus, as was the onsen bath. 10/10 customer service, the staff even drove me to the train station when taxis were booked out.
