Overview
Boasting 7 dining options, massage services and a variety of hot-spring baths, Takayama Green Hotel is a 6-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station. A free shuttle is also available from the station's West Exit, which is a 3-minute ride away. Rooms have an LCD TV and a minibar. Free WiFi is available. “Very nice hotel with two Onsens, gift shop and a city shuttle”
This is a beautiful big hotel located in Takayama. Room was specious and clean (we ordered Japanese style) and always clean. There are two Onsens (public bath) for your choice and the smaller one was more intimate. Highly recommended, we will book again.

Breakfast and dinner were 10/10. Good for my wife, she goes GF and they have heaps of options for her. Onsen, very nice even they allow me to stay longer when they were cleaning. Good gym facilities too.

Extremely helpfull staff. Helped us with a mail delivery that we needed to urgently collect, very much over and above!!! Had a traditional japanese room, which i wouldvery much recommend.

“Well run hotel, close to town, with good food options and good facilities.”
The hot onsen in the room with view was a great touch. Gym is limited but ok. The breakfast had lots of options, a good coffee - overall excellent

“Lovely Hotel for a Stay in Takayama”
The hotel is spacious and of a very high standard. The a/c room was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of buffet options.

“Good hotel. Junior staff need to be trained. Lots of large tour groups.”
The property is large and very lovely. The room we had was the best we stayed at in Japan. The view isn’t the best but the room itself is luxurious and fully equipped. The onsens were amazing. The breakfast was really good and there were several dining options.

The hotel staff found and forwarded a lost item to us via Japan Post, which we greatly appreciated. The staff were highly professional throughout. The hotel was practical and exactly as advertised (we stayed in a room in the renovated wing). It’s also within walking distance of Takayama’s historic district. I loved the traditional Japanese kaiseki breakfast!

“Very tired, poorly maintained mass-production hotel”
Honestly sub-optimal. They have several buildings - so may be there are newer and nicer facilities somewhere. The old building we stayed at is tired, over-used, under-maintained, smelly, overcrowded, and therefore overpriced.

You name it , they have it all. Staff super friendly, very clean. Good onsen. Buffet restaurant was really loved by our 10 year old child.

“A comfortable and easeful stay to join the Takayama summer festival”
Close to the station, this grand hotel had very good public onsen and service. Our room was in good size, bright with far mountain view and everything inside was spotless clean. We liked all the staff who served us, cheerful, friendly and efficient. We had been travelling a lot staying in a number of hotels and we deeply appreciated this hotel which had a sufficient number of staff to handle individual guests and tour guests efficiently during the peak check in and check out time.
