Hida House lays in a quiet alleyway and captures the romantic rural housing of Hida Takayama. It has really nice beds and has everything you could wish for. Support was really clear in the communication.

Beautiful historic property with plenty of room for a whole family. We all loved Takayama and will remember our stay at Hida house. Make sure you try the awesome ramen shop just across the laneway!

So lovely to stay in a house and enjoy all the amenities after hotel rooms. Loved being able to make drip coffee and toast for breakfast. Bed is very comfortable. Also loved the kotatsu table with blanket and heating for reading. Washing machine very handy and plenty of hanging devices. With the heat on, clothes dried pretty quickly. The location is excellent and close walk to old town. Try the sushi restaurant, Sushi Sho, right by the house. Intimate with only a few seats at the bar and delicious. Center4 Hamburgers has amazing burgers and a really cool vibe. Go early to Miagawa markets before they run out of stock - the food is amazing.

“Good time in a pretty place”

Very nice and well equipped accommodation in a great location. It's about 15 minutes to the railway station and about the same to old city center. In the kitchen you'll find all you'd need to cook or re-heat meals bought in a kombini. The bath room is quite spacious, pretty and also well equipped :)

“Great traditional house with modern comforts”

This is a relatively large traditional house that has been thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts to ensure a great stay. It is centrally located a 15 minute walk from the station and 10 minutes walk from most attractions. The ground floor kitchen area has a nice outlook over a small garden and one of the upper floor bedrooms overlooks a shrine and park. There was good communication from the hosts. Recommended.

Easy to get to from the station and within walking distance to the town area and the heritage streets. Great facilities that make you feels like home. Cosy and warmth house. Beds and futons are comfortable. Admin is quite helpful and attending to queries promptly. Effortless check in and check out.
