A beautiful place, a lovely house, very well equipped. A must. A little outside of Takayama, so you need to take a taxi (bus is not super convenient) and taxi costs app 4000 JPY. But it worthies it

It's a jaw-dropping place. Seriously, we were regretting for getting this place ONLY for one night. The house itself was beautiful inside and outside. The location and also the landscape you could see through the window... it was an unforgettable experience. It's a little remote from Takayama itself, but we were travelling without a car and we were able to get here from town center by bus in 20 minutes and a short walk.

Cozy, quiet, isolated from the city. Well facilitated house with japanese bath, laundry and dryer, kitchen with cooking tools. Customer response is punctual and quick.

This property allowed us to stay in a more remote part of Japan, with beautiful views. When arriving accessing the property was very easy and convenient, with the host providing great communication in advance and throughout the stay. The accommodation itself is unique and all amenities required are provided. The local community are very welcoming and friendly, making staying in a place like this comforting.

Impressive, carefully and tastefully restored house at the edge of town. Very comfy futons, very nice surroundings.

This little cottage is an architectural masterpiece. Well designed, well made and well finished. The best part in our view in this respect is that the roof supporting beam is made from one tree. The terrace is also nicely made from old beams and offers a nice view on the valley. Kitchen facilities, bathroom and wash and dry appliances are all top notch. Sleeping is on the top floor and provides ample space for the given capacity of 5 persons. Communication with the property manager was excellent. Upon arrival the mail ceiling lamp was on guiding us easily towards Haku. We could easily have stayed here for a week had time so permitted.

“A ghibli experience”

The traditional farmhouse is situated on a hill top overlooking the rice paddies. It was an absolutely unique and surreal experience staying this remodeled farmhouse. The farmhouse is spotless and comes with a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook your meals and enjoy the house at the same time. The neighbour was tranquil with friendly neighbours. The host, Junko, was responsive to our enquiries.
