Clean and comfortable

“Perfect stay in a wonderful town!”

We loved this place, the amount of shared space downstairs was incredible. Plenty of space to cook, eat and relax which we didnt find in all the accom we stayed at. Room accessible by lift which was great. Bonus coffee shop attached and guests receive a discount. Room was a good size and had everything we needed.

Near by the bus and train station. We have a extra economy choice to stay in Takayama, although it is dorm. New and clean is amazing.

Charming guesthouse, friendly staff and calm atmosphere. Conveniently located very close to the train and bus stations. The kitchen was clean and well equipped and the lounge area was very comfortable. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. I really appreciated all the additional information available relating to top sights and attractions in the local area, local onsens, bus timetables and food spot recommendations. There was a very thoughtfully designed shoe storage system in place to prevent mix ups. Ear plugs were also thoughtfully available at the front desk, just in case. There were lockers for valuables in the dorms, which was really great.

“Very welcoming and an easy walk to the old town”

A great location. Really appreciated being able to book a car space for our time in Takayama. Staff were friendly and we were able to check in early (a treat in Japan!). Bed is a futon, I probably should have layered two as it was a bit hard on the hips!! Loved the communal area to relax on a comfy sofa and a kitchen to make a drink and cook a meal if needed.

Easy to reach from train/ bus station. Friendly staff and clean. Good facilities to cook and wash there. Space and confortable room for 3 people. Many recommendations available in the walls to do around

Very clean and well managed guesthouse. Spacious dorm equipped with lockers and good ventilation. The pantry and common area were both excellent. The staff were also professional and friendly.

“Incredible stay in amazing Takayama”

This guest house is a real hidden gem ! We were a bit afraid to feel cramped in the family room ( 5 of us) but the room is big and clean, the bathroom and toilets are also spacious and the futons are so comfortable! But what we loved the most was the atmosphere of the guest house, the common spaces so welcoming and all the tips given by the personnel and other guests. You are 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to the incredible city center of Takayama, 10 min from station (with luggage’s!), across the street you have a 7!eleven and the first temple is at the next corner!

Everything was great, probably the best place I've been in all of Japan. From the service to the facilities.

Free towels is great! Great common room and kkitchen. Washing machine and drier. Great service! Big dorm rooms

Excellent location - 10 minute walk from the bus/train station - 20 min walk to old town.

They were very kind. I forgot an envelope with important documents, and they took the trouble to help me and send them to my next destination.
