“Perfect quiet guest house in quiet location a short walk away from central area”

Lovely guest house in traditional building. Quiet location about 30 minutes walk from main tourist area Well equipped. Beer and food through honesty system if required Great showers Lovely owners who gave us a lift back to the train station early in the morning

I like the host. The owner was super kind and even took us to the bus station.

Place was really comfy, with good collection of DVDs to listen to. Host picked us up from the staion, told us good spots, and get us to see the sunrise, really happy with the help. Thank you Muramatsu san for taking care of us!

Staying was nice. Everything is complete and clean. Owner was able to leave key so we can check in even though he was not in house and we arrived late.

House was traditional so we could experience how Japanese house looks like and host - Muramasu was amazing, very nice, even drove us to Takayama center (the house was a bit far from center by foot)

“Great family stay in historic takayama.”

We arrived late but the key was provided for us. Kitchen has a large fridge with freezer. Living room is comfortable with table for four and a traditional low table on tatami. Beds were comfortable. Easy check in with the owner. Parking nearby. Walking distance to historic Takayama.

“Value for Money”

Affordable. Overall space is a bit squeezy but acceptable for the price we pay. Owner obviously put in a lot of effort to make it as comfortable for guests as possible. Short drive to town.

Feel live at home

A beautiful house with lovely hosts. The rooms are very comfortable with sliding doors. And as many people mentioned before there is a free driving service to the station on the morning of your checkout.

It was a very lovely location - just out of town but only a 15 minute walk away. Easy check in and we met the owner in the morning who was very lovely. Beds were very comfortable, accommodation had everything we needed.

I was pretty tired after the trip to the hotel and the owner was really friendly and polite. I even got a taste of his japan wine before I left, which was really good. The neighbors were all so friendly and the whole environment was clean and dry, even in the toilets. Its astounding how everything manages to be neat and tidy in a public living place. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would come here if I ever travel to Japan again.

It was cozy place, we reached late and the owner had already put up our name on a board welcoming us. He came later to meet us also. All facilities were properly laid out and marked with instructions (in English). We had the best sleep there, rooms were very cozy. Wished we had more days to spend there. The owner dropped us at the railways station aka bus station after the check out.

Budget accommodation in the tourist town of Takayama. Check-in is easy. The host offers a drop-off service to Takayama station.
