“Great value for a well-managed accommodation”

Convenient location for Biwaichi cyclists. Great value! Room was clean and quiet. Bathroom and toilet facilities were clean. Breakfast was nice and ample. :) Proprietor was a man of few words and he was kind and fulfilled our request for an extra futon pad. The parting gift of a hand fan was a nice touch. Other guests at the accommodation were friendly. We were able to leave our bikes in a safe place right at the front door.

This is a basic two star hotel, small and quite worn, so my expectations about the facilities were low, however the dinner provided was very good, the breakfast average, as there was only one bath and only one other resident my wife and I could bath together on the evening, the location was very good near to the Station.

Excellent Ryokan, superb good, really enjoyed it.

I liked the style of the room, the cleanliness and the man who owns the house is very welcoming.

Clean and beautiful view. Quiet and comfortable. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were delicious. The host was really helpful. Location was great, easily accessible from the train station. Thank you for allowing me to keep my bike indoors.

Quiet mountain views, cool courtyard gardens, walk8ng distance a little over a km to the water shrine along the lake shore. Lots of space! I loved that they put my name in the window so I could know I was in the right place when I found them, walking distance from omi-takeshima station

“Lovely ryokan in a quiet and peaceful town”

It's a very traditional Ryokan with baths, dinner and breakfast. I believe this one is family run and they try hard to make every guest feel important starting by having your name on the guest list of the day in the window. Also loved the dinner spread which I finished everything laid out (I had beef shabu shabu). Morning breakfast was simple and filling.

A small familly-owned hotel located in a remote area. Nice japanese-style rooms. Very good dinner. Very traditional and good japanese breakfast.

Very close to station, in a quiet village. We arrived there by our bike and was allowed to store our bike inside guest house in a storage place near entrance. Breakfast was delicious and full, traditional Japanese style. Though owner is quiet, he is helpful, answer email promptly. He gave me a paper box when I asked for my personal use. There is a kettle for boiling water, good for me as I like to drink hot water. There is a sink in balcony, so simple washing and brushing teeth can be done in room. A warm reminder to future guests: there are a few interestingly looking restaurants near by, but all need reservations before hand. We can't try. Do book.

Traditional Japanese onsen and tatami. Hard to find elsewhere, very good experience for me.

“An amazing jump back in the 70s Japan to me.”

The place is a little bit odd yes, but it’s a wonderful example of a traditional Japanese hospitality (even if the building doesn’t look traditional… but 70s) the hot bath was one of the best I ever had in Japan and the food was incredible. And I paid only 8250 yen for a half course stay (1 person). And the owner did his best to explain everything (with a digital language translator).

Very comfortable and beautiful rooms!
