Literally next door to train and bus station, clean and comfortable. Had a great onsen. Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was good.

Great location and near with Takaoka Train Station. Have short bridge through the building from the train station. Staff very kind and helpful. Will come again to stay at APA HOTEL TAKAOKA EKIMAE, if we have a trip to Japan in future.

“Great location, OK for one night.”
The staff were great, we had the impression to step into a chic palace when entering the common area. The bathroom was new and very clean. We had a lot of choices for our breakfast.

The location is extremely convenient and the building has a luxurious look outside and even in the lobby. The amenities and service is also very much top-notch.

“Good hotel with bath facilities”
Nice rooms but a bit on the small size (true to pictures). Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a public bath with water from a source (can't remember where) which was a nice touch and definitely enjoyed by Japanese people. There are laundry facilities which are relatively well priced.

“Family Road Trip around Japan”
This was one of the worst hotels we stayed in during our three week road trip mostly due to the location we were on one of the higher floors but the noise from the train station between trains and announcements went all night and we had hardly any sleep during our stay it was so noisy.

“It's a nice place to stay.”
There are konbini, bus stop, and tram stop nearby. Microwave is available. Even though the room is small (typical japanese hotel for 6,000-7,000 yen), but I could fully open 1 medium sized luggage. Small space to hang clothes. Acceptable bathroom size. The bathtub size is bigger than I thought. The location, it's actually walkable from Takaoka eki, but since we travel in snow, it's quite hard to walk and opted for public transportation.

“Well-furnished, excellent location”
Well-furnished room. The hotel looks really upscale inside. The hotel's onsen was spacious and enjoyable. Excellent location next to the train station. Overall, a very pleasurable stay.

“Really good value for money, great location and we loved having the Onsen in the hotel”
The hotel is in a very convenient location beside the train station and close to shops/restaurants. We loved having the Onsen in the hotel and it was not crowded during our 4 day stay.
