“Hidden gem near Takamatsu”

We really felt at home at Guesthouse Yashima! It felt like staying over at family (but with a lot of privacy). It is a lovely house surrounded by beautiful flowers at a location that felt like the countryside - except for the train (which was fine - and convenient) it is so quiet! It is close to nature, there’s enough shops nearby and Takamatsu city centre is easy to reach by train (or bike!). We had a wonderful time, loved the cats, slept really well and had great fun exploring the area (Yakuri temple was beautiful, the Noguchi museum magnificent, Ritsurin garden of course and there’s so much more)! Thank you for everything!

“A wonderful experience”

I really liked the vibe of Guesthouse Yashima. It's a truly authentic Japanese experience, from the bath to the tatami floors to the décor. The hosts are both absolutely wonderful and make you feel at home straight away. It's conveniently located so you can see all the sites in Yashima (I especially like Shikoku Mura) and 10 minutes from Yashima Station,which makes travel to Takamatsu and Tokushima convenient. I also enjoyed the cats. Everything was so real, down-to-earth and genuine. I look forward to coming back next autumn!

Nice and big room to myself with a beautiful view and occasionally a sweet cat visiting. There is everything you need :-)

“Amazing stay (with cats)”

The hosts are really nice, including the cats! We got to meet two of the cats Milk and Clover who came to chill with us in our room. The house has a lot of charm and personality, and is cared for with love and attention. It was really clean too. The house is next to train tracks so you will hear the trains and signal for passing trains, but that did not bother us. There are two train stations within walking distance (10-15 min walks), so coming from Takamatsu station should not be an issue. Would stay again for sure.

Great location was quiet and relaxing despite the rail x-ing which I barely noticed,was nicer than traffic put it that way.Village like area at the edge of town.Hosts were great. Kind and helpful.close to mt.Yashima and only a few stops on JR to Takematsu JR

It’s a beautiful house and a quite area ! I had a great time with guesthouse Yashima! Everything is clean and tidy. House owner is very kind and warm. This place is definitely a great place to stay if you wanna experience Japanese culture and food in Takamatsu . Also it’s very convenient to visit all the islands around this area!

I had a great stay, that felt like home. The guesthouse is easy to find with Google maps, supermarkets are in a 10 minute walking distance and Yashima is an all around great area with many restaurants and a nice neighborhood. I hope to visit again and then meet all the cats, too!

Easy to find via Google Maps. The host was welcoming and gave me privacy. Good location close to Yashima and free parking available. Value for money and perfect for a one night stay.

It's like staying with a host family with the bonus of adorable cats. The room is small but cozy with a couch, ideal for a late night read with a cat swerving around. Price-quality-wise it's just a great place to stay.
