“A hidden diamond in Tafraout”

We’re a couple who wanted to stay a bit outside the village, and this place was exactly what we were looking for set in nature, surrounded by rocky mountains, with a calm and quiet atmosphere. Ahmad, the manager, is very friendly and even gave us a ride to the location. We were also warmly welcomed by the staff Momo and Abdulsamad and the lovely receptionist Aisha, who was very helpful and shared great tips about the area around the hostel. The food is some of the best in town definitely try the couscous 😋 We highly recommend this place, especially for its beautiful location and the sense of tranquility you find there.

Beautiful view and location

The receptionist (a young woman) is gracious and professional, but the older male proprietor is rude and unfriendly. Also, it's difficult to find because it's not on an actual road and the signage is very limited (use Google maps and dead reckoning)

Great location and views. Easy walk to town or the mountains. Friendly staff. Easier to find than others suggested (at least in daylight) - it's the only building you can see set back from the road under the rocks - and had several national flags flying.

“Great place to stay”

This is a great, friendly, good value place. It’s quiet but close to town, has a restaurant on site (order well in advance!) and very friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Cheap and simple

“We left after 1 night having paid for 6 nights.”

Not sure why this place gets good reviews. The staff were helpful and friendly but the rooms and bathroom were dirty and run down. The shower didn’t drain properly. Nylon sheets on the bed.

“Amazing location and super flexible host”

Amazing location, close to rock and palm trees. A very nice tarasse. We got room upgrade as free of charge. We came back to the same hotel twierdzi later on.

“Beautiful peaceful mountain spot”

Location was beautiful, just outside of town. So clean, light, simple and airy. The view from our window was exceptional - of the surrounding mountains and sunrise every morning. We were doing lots of hiking and climbing and this was the perfect base. The auberge was about a 15 minute walk into town - if you arrive in the dark bring a headtorch and trust the location on your map. You have to walk through a van campsite to get there.

The place is located in an incredibile spot right in front of Tafraut, the view from the patio is one of the best we have seen in Morocco. The staff was very welcoming and they gave us good tips on places to see and restaurants. The rooms are nice and clean and the sheets very soft.
