“Literally just what the doctor ordered: sea air, exercise and good food.”

When I was planning a winter holiday, I put it to an AI and stipulated five criteria I wanted to meet: I wanted comfortable temperatures, I wanted strong enough sunlight to give me some tan without the danger of sunburn, comfortable water temperatures, strong waves because I enjoy splashing around in strong waves and a destination served by airlines other than Ryanair (since I wanted a holiday that was good for me and that one that would not leave me with toxic memories). It quickly threw up Tenerife as a suggestion and I started looking for accommodation there. Casa 21 was top of the list. It's not hyperbole to say that it was perfect for me. I needed a holiday offering exercise, sea air and good food. Perched on top of a high hill overlooking the fishing village of El Pris, the view was unparalleled and unspoiled by any buildings between me and that harbour and at that time of year Tenerife’s waves were at their strongest. The El Pris harbour was a relentless and awe-inspiring spectacle of thrashing waves. My hosts had encouraged me to splash the cash locally and I was happy to get my meals in the local cafe, meals I found to be robust, authentic and very satisfying. Casa 21 specifically was perfect for me. It had all the food preparation amenities I needed. It had a wonderful tiered garden with a social area that included a cooking pit with a barbecue and a fridge. It had an enormous terrace and there was also a balcony overlooking that sea view I mentioned off the bedroom. And - and this is important - it was all mine and completely private once the street gate was locked. I didn't share it and there was nobody overlooking it. And another thing of note is that while the property didn't face West that did not rob me of the epic sunsets.

“Perfect”

The owner and the whole family were pure gems from the start. We received a warm welcome with food and drinks. They were very responsive to any questions we had. The apartment was amazing from start to finish, it screams quality, tidiness and warmness. The view was breathtaking. Everything was perfect. No better place to stay in the north than here. Worth every penny.

“A perfect place with incredible view”

We loved our stay in Casa 21. We were welcomed by a very friendly host who took the time to explain everything to us and... We got a lot of of food as a welcome gift (fruits, cheese, wine...), a nice touch :) The flat is very calm, you can hear the waves on the balcony, and the view is incredible. I don't think we've ever had such a beautiful view in all our travels. What a pleasure to eat breakfast protected from the wind with the sun an such a view! The flat is well furnished (washing machine!), a lot of towels were at our disposal. We would definitely stay there again.
