I was absolutely satisfied with my stay. Wayan and Komang run this small retreat with only seven units with so much heart and dedication – you feel welcome from the very first moment. The garden is simply a dream and perfect for relaxing. All the staff members are incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. My room had everything I needed, and the bed was excellent – I slept wonderfully. The freshly prepared food was outstanding and delicious. The pool is perfect for cooling off and relaxing. A truly beautiful place to unwind – I would love to come back!

We had such a wonderful and peaceful stay at The Dukuh Retreat . It is located in a beautiful, quiet village, remote but full of charm, and gives you a real feel of authentic village life in Bali. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and surrounded by nature. The property has a lovely pool, a spotless yoga shala, and a nice stretch of land where you can take peaceful walks. The free breakfast is delicious, with very good options to start your day. The staff are kind and attentive, and the owners are truly some of the sweetest people we have met. We stayed here for four to five days, and everything went smoothly. One day, there was an unexpected power cut across the area due to government work, and the owner went out of her way to help us. She offered us another place to work from with internet access and even offered to pay for our lunch and snacks that day. We did not accept, but her kindness and concern really touched us. If you are looking for a peaceful, nature-filled retreat away from the crowds, with warm hospitality and a personal touch, The Dukuh Retreat is absolutely perfect. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

“The Dukuh Retreat was heavenly and gave us a glimpse of the ‘real’ Bali!”

The location was divine; corn fields, rice paddies, glorious gardens and villages nearby. The breakfast was delicious- fresh, healthy, plenty of it and delivered to our door. The staff were welcoming, friendly, obliging and openly shared their local knowledge of the culture. The gorgeous rooms were cosy, cool, clean and comfortable with a front and back porch to laze around on and watch the corn swaying in the breeze and the birds flitting around. Komang and Wayan treated us as though we were family and even invited us to their village’s ceremony. They were always willing to chat to us about Balinese life and to answer our questions. It was like being a guest in their home. The ladies cooked delightful meals and their warmth and smiles made us feel so welcome. The Dukuh was the perfect place to relax and reconnect with each other in a beautiful, authentic,rural Balinese setting. Walking around the nearby villages was interesting and we were greeted with smiles everywhere. Thank you to The Dukuh Retreat for a wonderful stay!

“A litle slice of heaven”

The Dukuh Retreat is tucked away in a quiet hamlet, on the banks of a river, surrounded by rice fields and a few minutes’ drive from a black sand beach. The bungalows are charming, with balconies front and back; very spacious inside; and comfortable, especially the king sized bed. The en-suite bath had good water pressure and the shower was hot 24/7. A/c and wifi worked well. The accommodation is set in delightful gardens, beautifully planted, with soothing water features and a well-maintained pool. Filtered water is freely available, with several water stations around the property. Meals are generously proportioned, and the home cooking is excellent. Wayan and Nyoman, the hosts, welcomed us warmly, as family. The Dukuh calls itself a ‘Retreat’, and it most certainly is. In addition to the B&B, the also offer a range of wellbeing packages that include different activities. We chose a package with a daily massage, yoga and sound healing, and various short excursions. Of these, we selected a Water Purification ritual, which was powerful. After only 3 nights, we left feeling relaxed and refreshed. I recommend The Dukuh Retreat highly.

Great hospitality, the host and staff are very friendly and heart-warming. Love the breakfast by the porch & surrounded by a lovely plantation. The bed is very comfortable! When we first arrived at Bali, we had booked a terrible hotel, and the Dukuh nicely helped us change the dates and offered a lot of help.

Wonderful place in a quiet and peaceful place, you will be close to nature, hearing and seeing beautiful birds. The massage was something else as the hut was outside and you could hear the nature sounds while getting a great massage. The food was very yummy. And the hosts were incredibly helpful with everything!

Dear Dukuh Retreat, thank you for letting me stay with you. I would definitely recommend you to people who want to escape everyday life and have a lot of peace. It's located outside and around are local people and their houses and not much tourism. You have to like that. I only stayed for a few days, but took a lot with me, like the yoga classes and Bali massages, which are really recommendable, and a traditional water cleansing. It was amazing to experience. You can also order food and they deliver it to your cute little house. The hosts are really welcoming and helpful. It feels like a little home. Warm regards, Jasmin

“Scenic, idyllic, tranquil, enchanting, breathtaking.”

The location was ideal for our requirements. The owners Mr Wayon and his lovely wife were incredibly learned in all the aspects that we were interested in, and was only too keen to journey with us in support of our primary reason for visiting Bali. They have made all the preparation requirements for our pilgrimage to the various sites. It was home away from home

The facilities were very cozy, you felt peace, you let yourself be enveloped in a very very pleasant atmosphere.
