Although the resort is looking a little old and tired it is very well kept. The property and grounds were very well presented, clean and tidy. The resort is in a beautiful setting overlooking rice terraces. Although we didn’t get to use it the pool looked clean. The room itself was clean. The super large bathroom was outside, partially covered and had everything we needed. The staff waited up until midnight to check us in and were polite and friendly. They went out of their way to make me a coeliac friendly gluten free breakfast. There were some interesting pieces of art scattered throughout the resort. All communication was fast and efficient. For one night transiting to the north it was perfect for us.

The property itself was absolutely beautiful in the grounds of a temple overlooking rice fields. It’s a huge property with two pools, lots of areas to sit and read and work. Really idyllic, relaxing location to enjoy some peace away from the city and the staff were so lovely, helping us book bicycles, transport, providing us with refreshments and always smiling.

We arrived to find ourselves the only guests for a couple of days, while the village who runs the homestay type of accomdation set up and decorated for a large group of European tourists. Large bedroom, outdoor shower area. The infinity pool over the rice patties was interesting to watch the birds and farmers at work. Food on menu is geared towards Europeans, with little chilli added, which was a surprise after several weeks of travelling here. I appreciated being able to pay for the meals with credit card, and activities by cash. We asked the property to arrange a local driver to transport us to the airport (1.5 hours away), and we were supplied with a safe and considerate driver who delivered on time. Service was authentic considering the village / homestay atmosphere. Occasionally checking in on those by the pool would result in a higher purchase of drinks. Activities included rice field/village tour, massage, cycling and visits to the local UNESCO temple. Valued the quiet atmosphere within 1.5 hours of Denpasar airport.

We stayed one night in Puri Taman Sari. We booked 2 deluxe room and 1 Bamboo house. . Puri Taman is a little paradise far away of the crowd. It is perfect for a short stay. We used their organized transport from Denpasar airport and It is highly recommended.

Fantastic garden with swimming pools. A cosy terrace with beautiful view. Excellent possibilities for walking and exploring the rice fields, streams, hidden temples and shrines.

We really enjoyed the location surrounded by beautiful rice fields and forrest in a small traditional village. Our spacious Deluxe room was set in it's own private garden and had a large outdoor bathroom. We are all our meals in the resort restaurant and enjoyed them all as well as the Balinese cooking class. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

“WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!”

We were invited to join a ceremony, which is an experience that I will never forget, seriously a highlight out of my 1+ year long trip. The family is incredibly kind and welcomed us with open arms. The complex & the area is STUNNING. We would love to come back someday, because we definitely didn’t stay long enough. We booked a scooter through them as well, no problem, it was dropped off and picked up there.

“Peace and quite with a touch of luxury.”

Remote resort, where rooms a scattered over a authentic Balinese village amidst the ‘Sawah’ (rice terraces). Very safe vibe, beautiful rooms and gorgeous nights on the porch listening to all the Balinese evening sounds. Frogs, tokeh, cikcak and on the background a bit of traffic noise from the main road a few kilometers away. We enjoyed the peacefulness a lot. Restaurant is good as usual the breakfast. Rooms are spacious and have a nice romantic canopy bed with mosquito net. Airconditioning works great. From your veranda you can stroll through the rice fields. In an adjacent forest plot there is an natural water source and temple used for spiritual cleansing. Short walk. Overall peaceful and spiritual place. Bring a good book and the pool and surroundings do the rest. Lot of things are offered on this resort. Cooking classes, massages, spiritual cleansing, Balinese marriage. 2-3 nights will do as it is quite remote

It felt peaceful, serene, and deeply relaxing – the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. One of the highlights was how quickly our child was able to connect and play with the local village children. It felt safe, calm, and very genuine. We also loved the beautiful temple just below the rice terraces, which added to the magical atmosphere. Overall, the setting and environment were wonderful, and the value for money was completely fair.

Love everything about Puri Taman Sari!

We loved swimming in the pool, overlooking the rice fields! Generally quite a tranquil place to stay and somewhere a bit different from the tourist spots. Our rooms had an outdoor shower which was very nice! Hotel restaurant was really nice and the staff were delightful.
