The Maisonette is a charming circa. 1929 property located in the village-like urban neighbourhood of Potts Point. Potts Point has earned the reputation of being one of Sydney's best places to live. Located on the edge of Sydney Harbour, you will love the vast choice of quality local cafes, restaurants, and bars. You don't have to go far to find the best coffee, the best meal or the coolest bar. You will also find a special something to take home with a choice of several individual boutiques and vintage stores. Saturday is local market day, where you will find exciting and delicious foods and products. Our property has three room types which are accessible via a central staircase. There is no elevator at the property. For couples and friends, we offer a choice of King and Twin bedded rooms with a private ensuite. For the solo traveller, we have the option of a room with a single bed and shared bathroom. Rooms are serviced weekly. Our property suits the independent traveller, and while we operate a front desk service during the day, these hours are limited. Please check with our team the operating hours for the day of your arrival. Don't worry if you arrive when the office is unattended. We will organise to leave the key for you in the lock box at the front door. Our team are available via telephone should you need anything after hours. Locals love living here, and we are sure you will too! The stunning Sydney Royal Botanical Gardens is a short 10-minute walk away. Stroll through these beautiful gardens to the Opera House and Sydney Harbour foreshore. Take a ferry to Manly for the day, explore The Rocks, Darling Harbour, or shop until you drop at our central shopping area. Sydney's famous beaches are also easily accessible via our excellent public transport network. Our property welcomed its first guest in 1929. During this era, the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge was well underway, and Sydney blossomed into an international destination for foreign travellers. Our cozy rooms have been styled to draw on elements reminiscent of this era. Locally owned and operated, we offer an affordable accommodation approach, ideal for experienced travellers who do not require 24-hour onsite attention. Our friendly team is always available to chat via telephone or messaging apps when we are not at the front desk.

A nice neighborhood with lots of cafe/restaurants. Only 10 minutes walk to King Cross stations plus 20 minutes walk to Botanic Garden which got really nice views of Opera House. And the share toilet was very clean!

we love the urban and street appeal of this location- with great restaurants and cafes locally. easy walking to opera house (not so great if you don't like steps). Also we stayed on the 3rd floor of maisonettes - there's no lift - so ask for a lower level if you have mobility issues. lovely staff and great value for money.

Sydney at New Year’s is crowded and extremely expensive, so I chose a more basic hotel than I usually would. Location was nice, lots of restaurants etc nearby and walking distance to the opera house and downtown.

“Beautiful place to stay in Potts Point”
The location is incredible, a stone's throw from Kings Cross and convenuent transportation but in a lovely and upscale area. The room was bigger than we expected and extremely clean. Staff was also very friendly and helpful - excellent value for mone. Would definitely recommend and stay again !

“Okay stay and budget friendly, but worth managing expectations.”
Overall the stay was okay, budget friendly and in a good location with easy access to bus (1-2 mins) and train (8-10 mins walk). There is one Woolie and heaps of dining places and cafes in the area. One thing to note, room preferences listed on Booking didn’t seem to be acknowledged, so be ready to be flexible.
