Great Southern Hotel is located in a historic 19th-century building in the heart of Sydney CBD (Central Business District), just 5 minutes’ walk from Central Station. Air conditioning is standard in all rooms. Located next to Chinatown, the hotel features a restaurant and a bar. The Great Southern Hotel Sydney is just 5 minutes’ walk from the Capitol Theatre, and 10 minutes’ walk from the famous Queen Victoria Building. Darling Harbour is a 15-minute walk away. All smoke-free standard rooms have a refrigerator, tea/coffee maker and work desk. Each room has a bathroom with a hairdryer and guest toiletries. The hotel offers a 24-hour reception desk and a guest laundry. The tour desk can provide sightseeing advice and help guests with travel arrangements.

Staff were friendly, helpful Accommodating my room was quiet where it was located away from the busy streets below. It was nice to have a restaurant & bar onsite they have a great breakfast menu which are great prices. I had the prawn & bacon penne for tea, it was the best I've ever eaten very generous with the prawns lovelt creamy sauce & very fulling I highly recommend it. Location was a real bonus in the friendly buzzing Chinatown area close to Central Station, Darling Harbour & Paddy's Market was right outside the back door just across the road plenty of eateries, a Woolworths Mart Supermarket near by & World Square mall just up the road.

“A positive stay from start to finish”
My wife and I had an excellent stay at the Great Southern Hotel Sydney over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The location in the heart of the Sydney CBD made it incredibly convenient to explore the city, while the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere from check-in to check-out. With great value for money, comfortable accommodation, and outstanding service, I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.
