Located in trendy Potts Point, Devere Hotel offers air-conditioned accommodation with flat-screen TVs. It features a restaurant and a business centre. Kings Cross, Sydney’s nightlife capital, is a 5-minute walk away. Devere Hotel is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Woolloomooloo and Elizabeth Bay. The iconic Sydney Opera House is just a 10-minute drive away. Devere Sydney provides rooms with en suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. Some rooms offer views of Elizabeth Bay. The Apollo Restaurant serves authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes using locally sourced produce. The Devere Hotel tour desk can provide sightseeing advice and help guests with travel arrangements. Dry cleaning and laundry services are available. One distinct advantage at the Devere Hotel is that all our guest rooms have individually installed air conditioning units. There is no central air conditioning which effectively eliminates the risks of Covid-19 transmission via internal air floats of centralised air conditioning systems. Also, the windows of our guest rooms can be opened for fresh air circulation.

“VERY average, convenience for my needs overrode my annoyance.”
I have been staying there for at least 18 yrs, usually twice a year (Except the COVID years) This time, I was by myself, having usually had my wife and daughter with me. So, I booked a single room. Not a problem, however, the fan in the shower was extremely noisy, the fridge was very dirty, the Aircon (on the floor) was noisy and unuseable and the power cables running to the fridge table light and the aircon were dangerous. TV was pretty ordinary in that I could not watch the AFL on Ch 7 as there was no reception. New management are VERY average. If this was subjected to a H and S inspection - it would fail.

Amazing view of the bay from my room. A very comfortable bed. The room was small but perfect for one person. I was happy to have enough hanging space and a full length mirror which surprisingly many places do not have! The location is fantastic. There is a supermarket just across the street and lots of great food options in the area. Super close walk to Kings Cross station and a bus stop also virtually outside the front door. All of the staff I encountered were super lovely and helpful. This is an older hotel but well maintained and such great value for money compared to what's available in Sydney.

“Spacious Rooms”
The rooms were spacious and came with a bath tub. I had a room with views of Elzabeth Bay catching the morning sunrises. This alone was a bonus for me as I enjoyed a hot morning drink with the sunrise veiws from the room window.

“Older hotel in good location. Ok for a quick overnight stay and clean. Rooms are very small.”
The location is amazing. The hotel however is old and rundown in places. It needs a multimillion dollar makeover. The staff do the best they can. For a quick stay though if you just need a place to wash and sleep if in town on a busy weekend or quick overnight stay, its ok. Just ask to stay at level 2 or above as lower level rooms have that old musty sewerage / damp smell about them and no open windows for fresh air.
