Overview
Located alongside Sydney Harbour, Cockatoo Island Accommodation options include self-contained houses and apartments, camping grounds and 'glamping' tents. Guests enjoy an onsite bar, a cafe and a tennis court. This UNESCO World Heritage-listed island is the only island in Sydney Harbour that offers overnight accommodation. It is within 20 minutes' ferry ride of Luna Park Sydney, Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. All apartments and houses feature a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom. The camp ground offers a communal kitchen and shared bathroom facilities. Glamping tents include bed linen, blankets, towels and toiletries. Camp tents have a sleeping mat and chairs. Guests can enjoy an outdoor meal using the BBQ facilities. The surroundings are perfect for scenic walks, hiking and sunset-watching. Ferry services stop regularly at the island, offering both city-bound ferries and journeys up the Parramatta River.

“Lots of fun in an amazing place while absorbing all of the history of the island.”
We stayed in one of the houses and it was a wonderful family adventure. The garden was great to relax in and take in the contestant changing activities on the harbour while the kids played. It was also a great island to explore. Getting around by ferry was also fun for everyone, we could get wherever we wanted on the harbour quickly and easily.

“A real surprise for the unknown visitor keep up the good work”
When we first arrived we were horrified thinking what are we in for but then we were told I booked a whole house I was shocked The outside we thought we were going to an old derelict house but inside was like a palace. It wasn’t until later we discovered the history of cockatoo island and then it all made sense.

The experience at night was awesome for the kids. Haunted island. They loved roaming with all the kids through tunnels and the whole precinct.

“Great weekend in the middle of the harbour”
A stunning house, in a wonderful location. Really beautiful accommodation, we felt so lucky to be able to stay there. We had Sydney harbour views, privacy, and loved the history. Thoroughly recommend Cockatoo Island apartments.
