“Amazing cottage right on the beach with stunning picture window to watch the sea”

Absolutely fantastic beach cottage and one of our favorite Swakop stays. It was pretty cloudy and grey while we were in town, so we weren't keen to go out. However, there's not really a need to go out when the house is this beautiful. The sunroom and giant picture window in the sitting room were as good as we imagined and we spent a lot of time watching the sea and the dog walkers. The cottage really is right on the beach, allowing for easy access to the walking paths. The shower had good pressure and was hot; I also liked that they stocked real coffee grounds, not instant coffee as is so common in Namibia. The decor is definitely quirky maximalist and the art is eclectic, but it rewards you for paying attention to the little details. The check-in and check-out process was super smooth.

We are so happy we got to meet our gracious host Lara and stay in this wonderful cottage. We had a great stay and can’t recommend this place enough. The pictures don’t do it justice. Everything was just as it should be: beautiful and cozy cottage, comfy beds, perfectly equipped kitchen, washing machine, spacious garage and a beautiful view. We wish we could have stayed longer! A special thanks to Tanya and Lara for making our stay perfect. They truly went above and beyond for us, providing help and guidance whenever we needed them. I would not stay anywhere else in Swakopmund.

“Quiet, seafront location with a homely, comfortable feel.”

The location on the seafront in a quieter part of Swakopmund was ideal. With a lockup garage for the car and all the kitchen utensils and amenities for self catering, this cottage was a great place to stay and enjoy the town and surrounds. The addition of milk in the fridge and wine as a gift was a very thoughtful and welcome surprise by the friendly owners.

We had a little internal competition, who could find the most quirky item in the house. I think I won with a cute photo in an unexpected location. Coupled with the fresh red roses, and red wine. And of course, the location. Connecting to wi-fi with all our devices was no problem, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy. Will certainly recommend
