Overview
This eco-friendly, stylish hotel is located in the picturesque harbour town of Svolvær. Wi-Fi access is free on site. Guests can enjoy stunning waterfront and Svolværgeita Mountain views. Each fresh and modern guest room at Thon Hotel Lofoten features a flat-screen TV and a minibar. Some have views over the scenic surroundings. The on-site Restaurant Paleo Arctic offers views of the harbour and local specialities, such as dried cod and Lofoten lamb. “Comfortable stay in a hotel with great buffet breakfast at a perfect location!”
Location was awesome, right in the heart of the main square! Room had a beautiful view of the mountains, overlooking the restaurants and town :) overall clean, with a wonderful buffet breakfast spread. Staff were nice too.

“An excellent experience”
The lady at reception was integral in making our stay a positive one. From the first interaction she was pleasant and willing to assist. We wanted to nominate her for employee of the month, but she advised that she was relocating to another hotel.

Great location and nice view from bedroom window. Room was clean and had enough space for suitcases, hanging up jackets etc. Very comfortable bed. Electric kettle, tea &coffee, cups, wine glasses provided in room. Amazing breakfast for which hotel has won awards for. Also noted they would let you take a packed lunch for a fee. We got a taxi to and from airport. You do need to call one yourself on arrival, phone number is on the wall by exit. Takes about 15 mins to arrive. Hotel arranged taxi for us on departure. We ate in the hotel restaurant once. Limited choices but was very good tasting food. We tried the local delicacy Stockfish, which the Islands are famous for.

Very smart hotel. Friendly staff on reception. Speedy elevator. Nice room with a lovely partial view. Most comfortable bed on this trip. Excellent breakfast. Made a great base for ex ploring Lofoten.
