I hate writing bad reviews, but the experience was pretty stressful, so here we go. Booked/paid a cabin via booking.com, once arrived (ca. 8pm) - nobody around except other guests. Contact phone is not answering. Called booking.com support - they also failed to reach the owner. Had to search another accommodation, luckily find amazing place around 300m further north. Owner reached us in the morning, saying that they send the checkin instructions. I believe they did), but we never received them and that doesn't excuse not answering multiple phone calls anyway. Got a refund, was lucky to find an alternative, still, had pretty stressful time. Sad...

The location was convenient for our activities in the Lyngen area. The cabin had all amenities including a fireplace.

Beautiful chalet in wonderful location. Near to the ferry terminal. We saw northern lights from this place. It has views to the sea and open sky, which offers good chances for northern lights viewing

“Good price-quality ratio at a nice location in Svensby”

Our cottage had a good price-quality ratio and the living are was quite spacy. I liked the location of the cottage and the views were nice. Balcony-terrace was big which was really nice! The place was also clean and quiet which is what we wanted. We were also able to drive our car right next to the cottage which was great. We did not have any contact with staff beyond a text for the lock box number so can't comment further on customer service.

“Great location for a northern lights and activities trip”

I travelled to Tromso with my teenage son. The hosts at Svensby helped me organise a taxi and Ferry to the campsite and were really lovely and helpful through out our stay. The activities arranged with their partner company were brilliant. And we got to see the northern lights. Thanks Hege and family!

Gorgeous cozy cabin surrounded by mountains and close to the ocean. Amazing views, easily accessible and very comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay and we will definitely be back in the future!!
