Overview
The Route-Inn Kamisuwa provides comfortable accommodation with free wired internet and free breakfast. Guests can slowly unwind in the public bath with free toiletries. Good location. 5-10 min walk to KamiSuwa station. 5 min walk to Lake Suwa. Good value for money. Just a simple hotel with all the basics. Friendly staff all around.

“Nice location, rather small rooms”
The room was very small and rather old, but everything was clean and we had all we needed. We really liked the location as it is near the lake and also near some restaurants. The hotel has a big parking space which we found very convenient.

Big space compared to the usual accomodation in Japan. Just a bit cold in the toilet. Nonetheless, enjoyed the breakfast and had a comfortable sleep.

The location was close to the train station and the major attractions.The staff was nice and accommodating, breakfast was buffet style and diverse. The onsen was great and very spacious, but tattoos had to be covered up when using it (covering patches could be obtained at the front desk).

Lovely tatame style hotel. The onsen is super welcome. Specially after hiking in the cold for hours. The heater in the room is awesome.

The room was medium-sized but perfectly matched my special request — a high floor with a nice view. I got a corner room facing both Lake Suwa and the surrounding mountains and street view — absolutely beautiful! The price was very reasonable (around THB 2,700–2,800) and much cheaper compared to nearby hotels Breakfast buffet was included and fantastic, offering a wide variety of tasty dishes. The hotel also has a public onsen on the 1st floor, exclusively for guests — perfect for relaxing in the evening after a day out. Staff were friendly, helpful, and service-minded throughout the stay. The location is great, within walking distance from JR Kamisuwa Station, close to Lake Suwa, and there’s even a FamilyMart nearby for convenience.

“Very good”
Comfortable stay as always with this chain. The hotel could use some renovation since the carpets had a few stains, but breakfast and staff were excellent.
