Beautiful and comfortable

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. The waterfront setting with a lake right in the backyard was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Our sons especially loved being able to fish and go canoeing straight from the property. Everything we needed was within easy walking distance, including great restaurants, cafes, a bait shop and a chemist, which made the location incredibly convenient. It truly felt like the perfect escape from busy work life. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing waterfront getaway.

Property was easily accessed with keys in a lock box. It was clean and well maintained with great cooking facilities. The adults retreat was amazing. We loved the space and were quite comfortable. The ducks visiting was a highlight.

Beautiful house and location - we enjoyed having dinner on the jetty in the backyard, watching the ducks and pelicans go by. Kitchen is well equipped and has all the basics required for cooking. The adults retreat upstairs looks like a newer addition and has a nice bathroom with a rainshower. We had a very comfortable stay. Libby and Jerry also have excellent communication.

My elderly aunt and uncle's loved the location and said it was immaculately clean.

Our stay at The River Retreat was fantastic. There is everything you could ever want. Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Easy access into the water with a kayak. The views from the house are beautiful. A very relaxing 5 night stay. Thank you 😊

This is a little hidden gem! The north facing river aspect is quite sensational and the upstairs bedroom suite is superbly decorated. Hosts Jerry and Libby went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

We loved the deck and water views the big doors that open up and the down stairs bedroom with the river view. Loved how the ducks and swans visited morning and afternoon for snacks. Loved the fact that it was dog friendly and well looked after, We give River cottage 10 out of 10

Great location. Very comfortable and spacious. Caught a large number and variety of fish from the back yard. Caught the biggest flathead of my life. The River Retreat is a great place for a family getaway and the price is good. We will be coming back again and have already recommended the River Retreat to family and friends.
