This accommodation is extremely customer-unfriendly and lacks understanding! We had a reservation for early March. Given the war in the Middle East that broke out at that time, we were unable to go on holiday to Oman. This accommodation is the only one refusing to show any leniency regarding the reservation. The other accommodations we reserved were accommodating, either by cancelling the reservation free of charge or by offering the option to stay free of charge at a later date this year. A particularly rigid and customer-unfriendly attitude!

I recently stayed at [SAMA Ras Al Jinz Resort] for one night, and it was a deeply disappointing experience that did not come close to justifying the high price. Despite requiring full prepayment days before arrival, the resort was completely unprepared for our stay. ​1. Lack of Preparation & Comfort ​Upon entering our room, we found it uncomfortably hot. Despite our confirmed booking, the air conditioning had not been switched on in advance of our arrival. Furthermore, although we had requested a cot weeks in advance, it was not provided. To pay a premium rate and arrive to an uncooled room with missing essentials is unacceptable. ​2. Cleanliness Issues ​The housekeeping standards were poor. The room floor was visibly dirty, and there was a noticeable layer of dust around the room. It felt as though the room had not been properly inspected or cleaned before we checked in. ​3. Unprofessional Management & Staffing ​The service was the most frustrating part of the stay. In the dining area, the supervisor was on his phone the entire time with the volume turned up high, completely ignoring guests. Rather than managing the floor, he was a source of noise and distraction. While some of the other staff members clearly tried their best to be helpful, they lacked the professional training expected at this price point. ​4. Poor Dining Quality ​We booked a package including dinner and breakfast, but the dinner was incredibly basic. There was a total lack of variety and quality, suggesting no organization or effort from the kitchen. We were so dissatisfied after the dinner experience that we chose to skip breakfast the next morning entirely.

“Good option for visiting the turtles”

We upgraded to the deluxe apartments which was totally worth it as these apartments are huge. We enjoyed the dinner especially the fresh barbecue and breakfast The resort is close to the turtle reserve and we went there for the evening walk. We swung by the Turtle reserve earlier in the day and booked in which was worth while as we got on the walk that left on time and therefore didn’t have to wait. Just to mention for people wanting to see turtles: we saw plenty of them swimming around off Bimmah beach later in our holiday

“Lovely lodge very close to turtle reserve”

Great lodge very close to the turtle reserve (5 minutes by car). Room was big and quiet. There was an outdoor movie for the family (really nice touch). Food was ok and coffee could be improved, but breakfast had an egg station, always a nice addition. We only went to see the turtles so didn’t do much else but saw there are some walks in the area.
