The hotel is 40 minutes’ drive from Oslo. All rooms at Kleivstua Hotel near Krokskogen come with free Wii-Fi, a private bathroom, a seating area and CD player. “Perfect for a short stay close to Oslo. The evening meal made the trip for us.”
We stayed here on a short trip to Oslo. We wanted a peaceful place outside but close to Oslo for a night and this hotel was perfect. The hotel and location were outstanding. We pre-booked the 3 course dinner which was excellent. It was only a short drive from Oslo but was like a different world.

“Could have been perfect”
The hotel compound is simply beautiful. From the cabins to the pond, everything looks amazing. And those views! Just great. The area is also very quiet and offers nice walks in the woods. The room, although quite small, had lots of character and was decorated appropriately. The breakfast was very good.

“Highly recommended to stay at!”
We were accomodated in the separate house with 5 rooms and a shared lounge. We were lucky to stay there alone, no other guests. The room was spacious enough, very cosy and clean. Breakfast was rich and fresh. Especially would like to mention dinner. The quisine was delicious, Chef is a real master! Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the perfect stay)

“The best stay in a hotel ever!”
This is the perfect hotel: lovely views of the landscape, the room was beautifully decorated old Norwegian style without compromising luxery, the food was excellent and the ingrediënts were homegrown, plucked in the wood or locally grown, the hotel itself was a beauty on it’s own. The personell excellent and very friendly with a story to tell.

“Amazing stay in the middle of the forest”
It was our first accommodation while traveling in Norway and the atmosphere of the little cottages and the full environment was simply gorgeous! Having breakfast included was a great option and very delicious. Unfortunately we stayed here for only 1 night, but I'd surely rebook it & recommend it, too!

“Perfect”
Nature and scenery as only found in Norway. A perfect four courses dinner with “lumberjack” portions and “Danish” wineglasses. Absolutely perfect! Highly recommended staying here.

“Absolutely fabulous!”
Everything was just perfect. From the staff to accommodation and location. The breakfast was splendid, the view from the terrace was just breathtaking. We got a whole cottage for ourselves - and we even had private sauna! It felt so good after a short hike in a chilly Norwegian Summer. Highly recommend!
