The position is excellent, with a fantastic view over the lake. Staff are really polite and helpful. The room was well-clean and had all the essentials. Good value for money.

Charming Italian place!

Location is perfect, even better than I thought. The garden is just a bonus, we spent there many hours hiding from the heat. Right through the garden is the ferry to other villages on the lake. Parking is big and easy to park, that is rare in this parts. Staff were very nice and helpful. Room was attended daily. On the last picture - the hotel is visible on left upper corner.

The host is very welcoming, the location is great and the view amazing. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but very clean, and overall a very good quality/price.

“Great location overlooking Lake Iseo!”

The location of the hotel was terrific. The ferry stop was about 25 metres from the bottom of the garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even carried my suitcase up to the first floor! The bedrooms were large and spacious and the small fridge in the room was very welcome as it was so hot. We had a view of Lake Iseo from our balcony, which was stunning.

Perfect location to explore Lake Iseo. The view from our balcony was exceptional. We expected the room and amenities to be basic, but they were adequate, and the staff delightful.

'Albergo Ristorante Aquila' is a lovely, old fashioned hotel, cool rooms with balconies overlooking the lake, full of beautiful old furniture. The hotel, although lovely, could do with a little tender loving care. The location on the lakeside in Sulzano is perfect. It is about 100 metres from the lakeside centre, with bars, two reasonably priced restaurants, one 'up market' restaurant and the ferry to Monte Isola. The other Ferry, to the local main town, Iseo goes from the quay at the bottom of the hotel garden. (Iseo is a lovely town, with lots of waterfront eateries suited to both locals and tourists). The staff are superb, breakfasts excellent, beds are comfortable and made up with fresh sheets every day. There is a fridge in the room to keep drinks cold. The rooms are large with high ceilings and French doors to the balcony. Most notably, everything in the bathroom worked perfectly, no leaking shower roses, no dripping taps, no loose loo seats, plenty of loo roll, shower gel, shampoo and fresh towels every day. It is the only place on our 30 day trip that scored 100% on the bathroom! An enjoyable stay, worth revisiting.

“A beautiful and very relaxing surprise hotel”

We have been to Lago d'Iseo a few times already, also in a hotel on Mont'Isola, but this was the best one we have stayed in to date. The Albergo Aquila is rated as a one star hotel and when we got our key to the room we thought "this is from the 70's" - one star is perhaps too much. On entering the room on a sunny afternoon, we were flabbergasted by the view of the lake from the balcony. We got a room on the second floor and had a most beautiful view of the lake over the trees in the hotel garden. The room/building is old, but we found the double bed very comfortable. Unusual for a one star hotel, we got clean towels every day and our bed was made every day. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean. We loved the tiled floor in the room. With the garden directly under the balcony, we had one of the quietest and most relaxing holidays in a very long time. Having a fridge in the room was a great help for keeping our drinks and dog-food cool. Regarding cleanliness and service, this one-star hotel was better than a couple of four-star hotels we have stayed in in the past. The Belgian guest staying in the neighbouring room told us that he had be coming to this hotel every year for the past 23 years. We hope we can do the same for the next 23 or more years :-)

“Friendly hotel in great location”

Beautiful location, directly on the lake and very close to the ferry terminal where you can take a ferry to Monte Isola every 20 minutes. We rented bicycles there and cycled around the island. The owner of the hotel was super friendly and helpful and prepared a great breakfast. The room was basic but had everything we needed, including chairs for the balcony from which we had a lake view and a view of the village.

Very nice place to spend time. Beautiful view from window on lake and island. Friendly personnel.

“Charmig stay by lake Iseo”

A cozy and calm gem! Owner Roberto is very kind and welcoming. Lake or garden views from the balcony (we had a bit of both). A few steps fown the garden path and you're by the lake. Super close to the ferries, and very easy to go to Monteisola. An older inn with 60s vibes but clean and full of charm. And cool even during hot wheather. Great parking. Would recommend you to get your own breakfast food, there is a fridge in each room!

The situation and view from the balcony was amazing. It was very convenient as it was close to the station but it was also very quiet. The departure point for the island was only a few minutes away.The hotel is characterful and quite unique. The room was spacious and the breakfast was excellent; the best we had during our week in the area. We asked for and were given a recommendation for a local restaurant which was also excellent.

“Fabulous location in a Traditional setting”

The Location of the hotel was exceptional for access to transportation (train and ferry) around Lago d'Iseo. The room was large and had a beautiful view of the lake and the bed was very comfortable. Despite the 'worn appearance' of the bathroom the facilities were very clean. The owner was extremely nice and carried my luggage up to the train station for me after I had injured my hand.

The area was lovely the hotel is tired but great location with fab views.
