“Smile”

The staffs was so so kind. There are old women. And they don’t speak English but told me where to eat dinner how can I enter the room kindly. It was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed.

The owner is lovely. Cozy atmosphere right next to the entrance to the historical park. It is possible to rent a bike directly here. Perfect if you’re in search of a local atmosphere.

“Disappointing”

Great location

Simple and clean accommodation run by nice old ladies. Sometimes free bottled water. The main advantage is the immediate proximity to the central part of the historical park and the possibility to rent a bike. There are plenty of options for good food in the vicinity, including an evening market with street food.

Very nice for the price. The pillows were not comfortable but otherwise everything was fine.

“Very recommended stay, very near to old town.”

The location is perfect. Near from the old town. You should wake up in the early morning to experience the offering to the Buddhist monks. Then go to the fresh market nearby. Explore local food. There you can buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, souvenirs! The room itself is simple. Inside toilet with aircon and exhaust fan. The exhaust fan needs to be on after you use the toilet. I would really recommend the aircon room because the weather is hot. It is run by 2 ladies. Cleaning ladies come daily if you want to get your room cleaned. They are nice ladies, only because of language barriers they might speak limited English. Don't hear what other tourists wrote that the ladies are rude. No. They just use simple English. Tell your number, ask you to pay. No flowery English words. So, don't take it personally. And anyway, you are in Thailand. Why do you expect them to speak perfect English? Across from this hotel, you could find a bus daily to Chiang Mai directly. So, you don't need to go to a new town to go to the bus station.

The old ladies running the place are very welcoming and friendly. The location is the bonus.

Location is perfect directly opposite of the main park entrance. Bicycles on rent at the property for 30 baht per day was very handy too. The rooms were clean. Free coffee is always a plus too. Good price for value.

Vitoonguesthouse is located directly opposite the entrance to Sukhothai historic park and therefore perfect for exploring this cultural heritage site. It's quiet, and clean but not cosy but it does the job. The owners are nice people but I can understand that the language barrier can be interpreted as them being rude since they only know some words regarding payment. However, I felt welcome. There is instant coffee available, and privacy, as well as a phone number contact in case one needs assistance which worked well. I recommend staying there, as it's very good value for money!

Very sweet ladies, we enjoyed visiting the city by bicycle, definitely one of our best memories so far!

“It's worth it.”

To understand that it is affordable, you have to take into account the hotel's strategic location towards Sukhothai historical Park. I would like to assess the room standard as average. Affordable "answer Yes" Then you also have to include the hotel's strategic location in that answer. - The people who run the hotel are extremely nice, absolutely top marks. If I wanted to return to Vitoon guesthouse, the answer would also be a Yes, thanks to its strategic location.

“A stone's throw from the Historical Park”

- Superfriendly staff 🙏 - The room and bathroom were very clean. With the fan on, I could beat the heat. - The location is the best: it's a stone's throw from the Historical Park. I went early to avoid the crowds. - Price-value is unbeatable (400 / night).

“Perfect”

I have read some negative reviews about this place and I can say that I do not agree with them. Vitoon guesthouse is an excellent place, very clean and the staff is very friendly. They even ironed some shirts for us. The room was very clean, better than other more expensive hotels. Of course it is not a 5 star hotel, but its price is unbeatable. The location was unbeatable, right in front of the ruins.They have a patio with tables to eat and hot water to make coffee. We had a great stay there. And of course I can't forget Tarzan, the dog they take care of. He is a very good and loving dog.

Location is perfect for the national park.

Nice clean room with everything one needs. The location is perfect, just cross the Road and you are in the historical park. Great to catch the sunrise visit! Its family owned, nice and warm and welcoming and helpful host.
