Lives up to the hotel status most compared to the other “hotels” we stayed in Iceland on this trip, which is nice. Stylish, clean, comfortable room and shower. Friendly staff. Convenient location and great views, considering it’s not exactly near the harbour.

Stunning view of the town and distant mountains from our room. Very comfortable beds and a nice shower. Excellent breakfast, which was cheaper tgab some of the other places we stayed.

“Good staying at Stykkishólmur Fosshotel”

Throughout our trip to Iceland, we saw different hotels that we assumed were part of the same Fosshotel chain, and they always seemed very modern, but the Fosshotel Stykkishólmur wasn't so modern; it might be considered even a little dated. The room was okay, but the bathroom really needs some update. It even had a certain smell. We were traveling with a friend and requested a three beds room. The third bed was kind of small (we don't think a man could have slept there), and it wasn't very comfortable either. You're paying for a room for three people. It wasn't something we asked at last minute. We had dinner there, and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet was the best and with most variety of all the ones we had at the different hotels. The staff both at reception, bar and restaurant was very friendly and helpful, although in general, we were expecting more for our money.

“Wonderful stay in Stykkhisholmur”

Lovely clean and comfortable room with beautiful views over the golf course and out to sea. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner also good. Easy to walk anywhere in stunning Stykkhisholmur and great base from which to tour the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Stykkhisholmur was our favourite town in Iceland.

The room is spacious and can accommodate three large pieces of luggage.

Large decent hotel just on the outskirts of the town but within walking distance of other restaurants and the harbour. Very friendly reception staff and a lovely non resident white cat that slept between the two automatic entrance doors and put up with everyone coming and going.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. The room was clean and tidy. Perfet location. Very freindly and kind staff and very good breakfast. We will definately come back to this amazing hotel.

Very nice hotel with comfy and clean room. Breakfast was great, as in other Fosshotel we stayed - dinner was great as well. Thanks to Monika (the waiter) and info she shared with us we saw Aurora Borealis and this was the best part of our jurney. Thank you Monika😍
