The bed was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in, in a hotel. The breakfast was very good too

The location is very good, basically in the city centre and by the lake. It was very quiet, I got a nice night sleep. The room had everything, including a small desk and several power plugs. I was very happy to have a coffee machine available at all times in the kitchen and some choice of snacks for purchase.

Il like the enviroment, the cosy room, the decorations a old and homey fealing. I like the simple check in with codes and the named rooms it was a nice touch.

The location was perfect. At the edge of the town, next to the lake. There is the possibility to use a bicycle.

“Okay for a business traveller, but not brilliant for a holiday stay.”

Strängnäs is not a very attractive town but the hotel is situated directly on the shores of Lake Malar, with just a quiet road in between. The light is wonderful and one can cross the road and have a swim, whenever one likes for instance shortly after dawn. Not a proper bathing place in front of the hotel but one can improvise and get into the water fairly easily - it is surprisingly warm. At least it was, this July. You can also get out of the water again, otherwise you might end up as part of a comedy sketch. Swedish casual: I wanted to depart early on my final day and it was no problem to make my own breakfast - including fresh coffee from the coffee machine. Not the full breakfast, of course, but that was okay.
