Overview
This hotel enjoys a central location in Stralsund's Old Town, just a 3-minute walk from the Ozeaneum. It offers bright rooms with free Wi-Fi access and a breakfast buffet. The 27 spacious rooms in the new house 2, which opened in April 2023, are all barrier-free and 3 rooms are especially suitable for people with wheelchairs and have a lift. They are equipped with vinyl floors and satellite TV and private bathrooms. The family rooms are equipped with a bunk bed. Renovated in February 2017, the historic town house (no elevator) Hotel Amber Altstadt offers 12 comfortably furnished rooms with vinyl floors and classic interiors. Each is equipped with satellite TV and a private bathroom. Located in House 2, Hotel Amber's dining room features modern furniture and serves a hearty breakfast buffet each morning. A vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free breakfast is also available. Freshly caught fish and Baltic Sea specialties can be enjoyed in the restaurants just 200 meters away. Straslund's main attractions include the Old Market Square and the Gorch Fock ship, both 450 meters from the hotel. Stralsund's main train station is a 4-minute drive from the Hotel Amber Altstadt.

“Highly recommended”
Good breakfast, comfy beds, extremely nice bed linen, spacious room and bathroom. This room is perfect for staying with kids. The location is amazing. Only a couple of minutes to the harbor and Ozeaneum and also a walking distance to the beautiful old city.

Excellent bathroom set-up, multiple hooks and a fun automatic light in mirror. Large functional room. Hotel is near a great coffee shop 30 secs away while the old city and harbour are 5 mins away. Highly recommended.

“Great place!”
Spacious room with great shower, comfy bed with lovely linen.(i really loved the pillowe& duvet covers :) not your usual stiff white stuff, but lovely and soft organic cotton) Mini bar and kettle (tea and coffee). Close to the harbour/ Ozeaneum and lots of shops/restaurants. Awesome selection at breakfast if you eat everything. With bottled juices and a selection of milks. Lots of cereals, spreads, cheese and cold meats, eggs, pancakes ... .. (As a vegan it's ok but expensive for the little you will eat compared to others. There are two great local cafes with amazing vegan dishes around the corner tho ;-) unfortunately not open Mondays tho

“Nice hotel in the centre of Stralsund Altstadt with great gluten-free breakfast!”
Location was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was clean, fresh, well organised, well laid out and the gluten free options clearly marked and kept clear of cross contamination. Rooms were nice and spacious and kept very clean. The beds were comfortable, pillows and blankets were of high quality.

“Great for a stopover”
There was a lift and our room was quiet. Fabulous shower with built-in cubby holes for holding things. The location was very handy for the seafront and for the Old Town. There was also a bus stop nearby.
