excellent destination - not far from the Storms River mouth. much better to stay in the village than

Watty and Lizanne went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The Tin House is quaint and novel. there is an outside braai facility and our hosts supplied us with wood which we really appreciated. the accommodation has all that you need for a shortish stay. the bed was comfortable. really enjoyed the shower facility. the Tin House is within walking distance to the Storms River Village and also only about 35 minutes drive to Plettenberg Bay and about 1 hour to Knysna, so day trips are an option without having to stay in the more busier towns.

The perfect get-away cottage :)

Really felt like a home away from home. Very kind attention to detail (cooking oil, milk, fireplace with fire starters and chopped wood and tinder, soft warm non-slip carpets, wonderful outdoor terrace and garden space, soft towels... the list goes on). Hosts were warm as long lost family and recommended a wonderful local restaurant that turned out to be a top highlight of our whole holiday (we'd never have found or gone to it without their advice - and assurance!).

A perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of indigenous forests. Friendly people.

Quirky property ideally situated in Stormsriver Village. All the amenities you need. Stay for more than a night so that you can experience the forest walks and numerous other activities in the area.

Very friendly hosts. Great accommodation, spacious, 2 toilets, very comfortable beds, everything is available in the kitchen. Lovingly furnished and there is even a stove for cold days. The hosts also gave us little extras, such as milk and apples. We felt very comfortable and would like to thank you once again.

We both felt welcomed and were very comfortable on our two night stay. Will definitely rebook.

Quirky funky and very comfortable. One of the best properties we stayed at on our three week driving adventure in South Africa. Our hosts lizanne & watty made us feel right at home. We will definitely rebook on our next stay.

Original and great value

Cute accommodation with lovely hosts - we liked everything about it. My other half wasn’t sure at first - he thought we’d roast in a tin building. But it was only really warm during the day when we were out; at night we didn’t even need the fan. It’s the type of place that looks as though it’s grown organically with lots of interesting bits and pieces. No fitted kitchen and storage here; instead an eclectic mix of everything you need. There’s even, thoughtfully, a portable gas ring to heat a kettle during load-shedding. The bathroom is the biggest we’ve ever seen and the toilet facility will make you laugh. Yes, it all feels a bit rickety but that’s its charm and everything was clean and comfortable. There’s a small private grassed area where you can sit out. It has a braai although we didn’t use it. Even better, the house is just a few minutes (safe) walk from the historic town of Storms River with good restaurants and a small supermarket. Watty and Lezanne went out of their way to look after us. In summary, don’t miss your opportunity to stay at one of the most unusual and best value places on Booking.com

Booked this cottage because it was so different and unique. Comfortable, clean, and cosy. It rained while we were there, so we had an excuse to light the fire. Hosts were very friendly, approachable, and accommodating. Cottage is walking distance from a number of restaurants and a supermarket so very well located. Close to a wonderful forest walking trail. We spent 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

An excellent place to stay in Stormsriver Village

Very clean and spacious. Everything you need were there. Attention to detail. Small coal stove inside the house where you can make fire if cold. Even wood and fire lighters were provided. Outside braai facilities. It rained when we arrived Lezanne and Watty came to meet us with a big umbrella. Excellent place to stay! They were very friendly. There were even board games one can play. Will stay there again.
