The hosts were warm and friendly. They gave us heaps of recommendations to see that didn't disappoint! The facilities were clean, tidy and comfortable.

Location , breakfast , clean, warm welcome

The guesthouse is part of a farm, located on a rocky hill, so very nice. 18 minutes from the town , which is fine. The hosts were very friendly and very hospitable, maybe the best from our stays (some hosts were very minimalistic even in communication, I leave aside that there was self check in). The building is refurbished , so interiors look good. It was very clean and with proper towels and bed linen. Bed was comfortable .The living room can be used and you are free to explore the surroundings. The breakfast is very good, savoury and sweet, including home made freshly baked bread and great selection of teas. Price is relatively good value considering there is breakfast as well, even if 175 euro for shared bathroom without other facilities would be high for most of continental Europe or the world. We did not intend to use the kitchen, but be aware it is not possible (as many tourists avoid restaurants in Iceland). The main difficulty for us was shared living, not so much from the bathrooms as there are 2, but more from noises in the evening/night/morning from other guests in the house.

Litla-Sandfell is sitting in a beautiful lush green valley about 10 minutes drive from Eglisstadir. Our hosts were very welcoming. The rooms were clean, although a bit small. The breakfast was very good, home made bread was so tasty!

“Great for a one night stay, lovely host”

Wonderful host with freshly made bread and cake as well, plus a simpler selection of food for breakfast. We had a lovely chat with the host at breakfast about life in Iceland, they were very happy to answer any of our questions. The room was clean, great for a one night stay, with a shared bathroom/toilet and an additional toilet. There is a common room / living area with a table, chairs, fridge where you can store your food if needed.

The breakfast was great and included self-baked bread as well as a variety of different choices including cereals, marmelade, cheese, ham, etc. We also had a fun talk with our host, who gladly told us about life in Iceland and what sightseeing spots are worth seeing. All in all a good stay for short stays. There is a very comfy shared bathroom and we had a double bed in a medium sized room with basic features which was more than enough for our one night stay. Your restaurant reccomendation for Messinn in Reykjavik was excellent! Thank you very much, Sverrir =)

Very nice house and garden in a beautiful area, rich breakfast with homemade cakes...the best place during our two weeks in Iceland!

An eye for the detail! Heated floors in the bathroom, soap and handcream, sweets for the guests on the bed and a very warm and welcoming loving room and kitchen. The view from the room we were in was also just relaxing and romantic with two chairs amongst a tree overlooking rhetorical valley.

The host is very kind and helpful. The house is exceptionally clean and comfortable and the host will serve you an amazing breakfast in the morning.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful guesthouse, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, the two hosts greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. Their friendly and welcoming nature set the tone for our entire stay. The breakfast served each morning was nothing short of delicious. Every bite was a treat, clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. The hosts joined us for some delightful conversations that truly enhanced our mornings. Their charm and kindness were the perfect start to each day. The guesthouse itself was impeccably clean, reflecting the hosts' dedication to providing a comfortable stay. The surrounding area was calm and beautiful, offering a escape of everyday life. They had three lovely sheeps that we were allowed to pet, which was a lovely experience. Overall, our stay at this guesthouse was exceptional.
