Overview
Overlooking Stonehaven harbour, The Ship Inn was built in 1771 and offers modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi and rooms with flat-screen TVs. En suite bathrooms with heated mirrors are featured in each room at The Ship Inn, as well as tea & coffee making facilities. Locally caught seafood, and steaks from a local Aberdeen butcher are served in the on-site restaurant which offers a variety of cuisine. A selection of real ales and draught beers are served in the lounge bar, as well as more than 100 different malt whiskies. Stonehaven is home to a picturesque harbour, open-air heated swimming pool and a scenic golf course, whilst also being just a 30-minute drive to Aberdeen city centre. The entrance to Cairngorms National Park is is under an hour’s drive away and offers a wide array of sporting activities.

The location is good. The room was very comfortable. What we noticed is that the people and their dogs were all so friendly. We certainly had our fulfilment of dogs.

The harbourside location and view. The room was recently renovated, although rather small. Parking is off-site, but there were lots of free spaces in the street right in front of the hotel.

Lovely location right in the harbour. Even though the pub was rammed on arrival, the staff were very welcoming. The room is fine: clean and comfortable. Nice view of the harbour. Breakfast was good. Ideal for a short stop in a lovely town.
