Michelle, the host, was amazing. She was very helpful and catered to our every need. The breakfast was awesome. The property is in an excellent location. We were able to walk into town and go for lovely runs up Jonkershoek road.

House of House is ideally situated in a beautiful leafy road just out side the town center. Stellenbosch is a vibrant town and within walking distance of this lovely accommodation. Our spacious accommodation was well equipped which enhanced our visit to this area. Everything was prepared for our arrival and Michelle ensured she gave us a sound overview of the property. Everything was beautifully clean and fresh, loved the cosmetics for hand washing and showering. The breakfasts were great and Michelle’s scrambled eggs and tomatoes were the best. Michelle was to hand whenever we needed her fortunately, as we struggled with the TV one night. House of House’s location also has the added advantage of being well placed to numerous vineyards and the university. The houses grounds and accommodation are large enough to ensure you can relax out of doors as well as inside. To conclude the center of town is close by with good tourist information, a beautiful church and plenty of fab restaurants and shops. By staying at House of House, you gain the tranquility and beauty of Stellenbosch by being away from the center of town.

Good location, comfortable and spacious room

I was attending a conference at the university, which was conveniently within walking distance from the guest house. The street is calm, cosy, and verdant. The vegetarian breakfast was delicious. It was very hot those days, so having AC for the nights kept me comfortable. Also, there was a nice outside area where I could work by the pool.

Everything very nice, the rooms very comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly.

Michelle, the manager, is an absolute gem. She was amazinly flexible and went beyond what was expected. Thank you.

“Wonderful stay in a spacious apartment walkable to town”

The apartment we stayed in was perfect for our family with two little ones. The pool was a bit cold for the kids since it was always in the shade but our oldest at 5 managed to tough it out for the fun. We made use of the brai, which for the nominal fee, the staff cleaned up after us. We were also able to have our laundry done for little cost which was helpful when it unexpectedly stayed quite hot for most of our stay. The breakfast was great each morning and Michelle did a wonderful job recommending us some family friendly sites.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Thank you Michelle for making us feel very welcomed and for hosting us. The property is in a very quiet beautiful area. We stayed in the Honeymoon room. A beautiful spacious room, comfortable bed with nice clean linens and towels. Loved the jacuzzi bath. The art and decor is very unique and fun. Breakfast was delicious, lovely fruits and yogurt, delicious croissants and muffins with a choice of a hot breakfast. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Everything was excepcional and beyond our expectations. The house, the art, the breakfast, the garden, the many convenient spaces for work or leisure… and above all our host: thank you Michelle for the wonderful welcome.

Michelle was a great host (she even went out of her way to give recommendations and her home baked blueberry muffins were amazing) and all the staff was extremely friendly. The rooms.were spacious and everything was extremely clean. I felt very comfortable and at home from the start. The flowers on the towels and bed sheets gave a cheerful atmosphere.

Honestly, I have been to many places in the world, but the value for money and the size of the beautiful rooms is something else. The host Michelle took care of us so lovely, I would even come back just for her. The art pieces make the whole play absolutely stunning.
