Gemoedsrus Farm is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional holiday experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Linda, our host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Her attentiveness and local knowledge made us feel right at home and truly enhanced our experience. The accommodation was superb. Our room was not only comfortable but also well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is a big plus too; it’s conveniently situated, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. Breakfast was a highlight, thanks to Loveness, who kept our rooms immaculate and provided excellent service each morning. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail made breakfast a delightful affair. Blessing took care of the beautiful gardens and grounds, ensuring everything was well-maintained and inviting. His dedication added to the overall charm of the farm. We truly enjoyed our time at Gemoedsrus Farm and can't wait to return. This place has everything you could wish for in a holiday retreat—great hospitality, cleanliness, and a prime location. Highly recommend!

Beautiful house, spotlessly clean, loved all the decor. The views from the garden absolutely stunning! The breakfast was simply the best! The farmhouse is in a very peaceful location and we felt very safe.

“Horrible experience”

I am not someone who usually leaves reviews, especially negative ones. However, this experience requires honesty. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have had, despite travelling extensively. The property is poorly maintained and does not reflect the listing or the price charged. The cottage feels improvised, neglected, and far below acceptable standards. Cleanliness was unacceptable. On the first night, we had to wake up repeatedly to catch mosquitoes in the room. There were spiders inside, and the overall condition felt dirty and unmanaged. The shower drain was clogged, causing water to accumulate while showering, a basic maintenance issue that should never happen in paid accommodation. There was not even internet in the cottage, which is unacceptable for a property marketed to international travelers. We also arrived in the evening to find no proper lighting due to electrical issues, with only partial emergency systems functioning. In a country where power outages are common, a generator or proper backup system should be provided. Guests should not be left without basic utilities. The breakfast was good, but unfortunately that alone is not enough to compensate for the overall poor experience. Traveling with two children, this created unnecessary stress and discomfort. This stay did not justify the price and was far below expectations. Significant improvements are urgently needed. Would not recommend in its current condition.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Gemoedsrus Farm! The staff here is beyond kind and friendly – they made us feel so welcome and really went out of their way to make everything perfect. The location is stunning, with beautiful views all around that you just don’t want to leave. The rooms and facilities are spotless and super comfortable, and the food is delicious – fresh, well-prepared, and just perfect after a day of exploring. Everything about this place just screams care and attention, and it’s clear the team genuinely loves what they do. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone wanting a relaxing and memorable stay!

We love the beautiful villa and garden as well as Linda’s exceptional hospitality. The whole family enjoyed the extraordinary breakfast and Linda’s staff is as well very, very friendly. Location is very suitable to explore the winelands. We have been here the 2nd time, would always come back and always recommend to friends who are looking for an accommodation in the winelands.
