Overview
Nestled amongst vineyards at the foot of Helderberg Mountain, near Stellenbosch, the Eikendal Lodge features lush gardens and a pool. Featuring a private patio or terrace with views over the garden and the mountains, the rooms and suites at the Eikendal are elegantly decorated. They all have a seating area and a granite bathroom. Cucina di Giovanni Restaurant @ Eikendal is serves lunch from Tuesday to Sunday, and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. It is located in the wine cellar which is a 15-minute walk from the main lodge and 1 minute by car. The property also offers activities such as wine tasting and grape picking during harvest time. Stellenbosch Golf Club is within 11km and the centre of Stellenbosch is 15 km away, whilst Franschhoek is 30 km away.

Elna arranged to bring breakfast and a sandwich to take with me, as I needed to leave very early the next morning. The view of the mountains and the gardens are lovely. The bed was very comfortable. I was even given voucher for free wine tasting.

It was such a beautiful lodge. The grounds, the room, the views. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very luxurious and had all the amenities you could need.

“A perfect spot for a weekend getaway”
The location of the lodge is lovely, a quick walk to the wine farm and surrounded by vineyards. Beautiful gardens and views. Breakfast was excellent with loads to choose from, very fresh, delicious fruit, breads, cheese, meats and preserves. Eggs to order and served by friendly, attentive staff

“Fantastic stay!”
We have often been in South Africa, in several places, but Eikendal Lodge is the best place we have ever been. It is comfortable, the personnel is very nice and friendly. There is a very good restaurant within walking distance. The views are fantastic: vineyards and at the horizon: Tafelberg. It cannot get any more romantic.

We had such a lovely welcome and all the staff were super friendly. The location and gardens are beautiful and the whole place is so peaceful. Our room had a lovely rustic feel and was very comfortable. Fantastic selection for breakfast and we enjoyed the pool area one afternoon.

“Our Stay at Eikendel Lodge”
The location is excellent and very quite and peaceful. Easy access to and from the airport. The staff was very friendly and ready to assist. The lady at reception who checked us in was very proffessional and friendly she made us feel welcomed. We got a room upgrade for free especially after a very long flight and we were tired and weary. The room was very neat and spacious with a comfy king size bed. We only regrated that we only booked for 2 nights insread of more days to fully aporeciate the peace and tranquility if the place. Food at the restaurent was very testy and nice. Breakfast was good however could do better with a little bit of variety. We will definately come back to this place.

The room was stunning with excellent views The staff are really helpful We lunched at the vineyard and that too was remarkably good- we missed that it is closed for dinner on Sundays and Mondays - we would have loved to have gone again

Well maintained property close to Stellenbosch. The gardens and views of the mountains were beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and quiet. Fiona & Lorena were very nice and helpful. Wine tasting was fun!

The lodge is situated right in the middle of the vineyards. We had a suite with a wonderful terrace and a beautiful view into the vineyards. You can walk or jogg on the premise. Pool is very clean and refreshing. Breakfast was very good! Staff was very friendly.
