“Paradise in the middle of the wineyards”

If I had to describe Clos Malverde in just one word, it would be fantastic. From the very first communication before my arrival all the way to the complimentary late check‑out, everything was impressively close to perfect. It’s important to note that this is not a place to come with kids or teenagers. The hotel is set in the middle of beautiful vineyards, and apart from the pool, wine tastings, and the spa, there are few activities for younger guests. That being said, the setting is absolutely stunning—and you must try their wines while you're here. The staff are exceptionally welcoming, and Debi, the accommodation manager, deserves a special mention. She can help you with literally anything you might need—from arranging a hairdresser appointment to recommending excellent restaurants. She truly knows it all and makes your stay feel effortless. For anyone visiting the region, my advice is: don’t bother renting a car. Uber is readily available, and given South Africa’s zero‑tolerance policy toward alcohol, it’s much better to have a driver so you can fully enjoy the magnificent wines without worrying about your license. Overall, Clos Malverde is a gem in Stellenbosch. I would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely peaceful location in the Devon Valley. Surrounded by vines & spectacular mountain views. Spacious accomodation plus pool in which to relax. Site Mgr Debi very efficient- faulty toaster replaced immediately. Will def try & return in the future.
