“Overbooked and was moved to an airport hotel.”
I booked my stay months in advance however on the day the hotel called me to say they were overbooked and could I move to the airport hotel 20 mins from the city centre. I did accommodate the request but felt it unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth.

“Wonderful location, feels just like home”
Lovely hotel with comfortable furnishings and good wholesome food. The bed is very comfortable, the view from the room is wonderful. The breakfast was a good variety of hot and cold dishes. They have afternoon tea, which is a bonus after all there walking around the town. The dinner was ok, soup, salad and a main. Would have liked a couple of opinions for the main, but it tasted fine.

“Fabulous - if I return to Stavanger this is where I'll stay.”
Fabulous location right on the harbour which meant everything I wanted to see or visit was walkable. Great breakfast choices of hot/cold/fruits/cereals/juices etc. The evening meal is included in the price - I only ate in on one night as I refer to explore good restaurants on my trips, but on that one night the chilli con carne was good. The room was described as a "compact single" but was quite spacious, with a 3/4 bed, a large desk, a harbour view, and a great bathroom with walk-in shower - outstanding! All staff I encountered were helpful and friendly.

The food was excellent throughout my stay — great breakfast choices, a delicious dinner, and a lovely homemade cake for fika. The location is fantastic, with beautiful views from the windows. The staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful. My room was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
