Completely renovated in 2020, HVAR [PLACESHOTEL] by Valamar is set right at the beach promenade, just 50 metres from the sea. Surrounded by pine trees it features an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. It is only a 5-minute boat ride from Stari Grad's centre. At the Hotel HVAR [PLACESHOTEL] by Valamar's restaurant guests can enjoy rich buffet breakfast. By the swimming pool there is a bar with a terrace, as well as free deckchairs and sun shades which invite guests to relax. HVAR [PLACESHOTEL] by Valamar provides basketball. In addition to bike, scooter and boat rental, excursions with a wooden boat to the island of Brač, can be arranged on site. A boat or a car pick-up to and from Stari Grad Ferry Port can be organised upon request. Free public parking is possible on site.

Everything was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, which offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. Also Rino, the fitness coach was awesome. It was great to have someone so knowledgeable, professional, and enthusiastic. His fitness sessions were enjoyable and motivating, and the SUP tour with him was a lot of fun as well.

Everything was perfect... Very clean & comfortable rooms/beds, amazing food & drinks, great pool area. The staff were very helpful & polite especially Angela very informative & pleasant to talk too. I will definitely return soon

i was blown away for this hotel! t was sooo beautiful and evey touch was great! i love that you get a amount to spend each day and can also carry it over. the location is just so peaceful and only a short walk to the town. i will be back!

“Fabulous stay ! Excellent staff, facilities and location”
My family and I absolutely loved our stay at PLACES! We were staying in the M double which was plenty of space for 2 people, and we had a great balcony with a view of the ocean. The facilities were fab and if it was warmer we would have definitely made use of the pool. There is plenty of sunbeds/loungers as well. The staff were very accommodating and so kind. We had massages booked on the morning of our checkout, and they let us keep one of the rooms until later so we could use the shower after our massages and before we set off. The concierge service was wonderful and always so keen to help! I believe her name was Nadia? But she was fab, and helped us book a vineyard and also a car for our trip. The girls at the front desk were also amazing and were always available to help with any questions, and always looking for a solution! The hotel works on a credit basis where you have €30 per person each day, and can be used on food/drink/spa treatments which is super handy! At times the tech could be a bit of a pain to sort out and sometimes the app wouldn’t update but all in all it was a good way to get your moneys worth The hotel is a 20min walk into Starigrad too which is very handy Would absolutely reccomend!

“Modern , Scandi Vibe”
We stayed one night at PLACES in Hvar and had a very enjoyable experience. We arrived on an extremely rainy day, but that certainly did not dampen our impression of the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, modern, and very different in a good way. This is definitely a hotel that embraces technology and eco-conscious living, and it combines the two surprisingly well. A great example was when I ordered an iron through the TV system using the remote control. The first available delivery slot showed as 9 am, so I expected to wait, but it pleasantly arrived much earlier. Small touches like this made the stay feel very efficient and modern. When you check in, you are given wristbands which act as your room key as well as a payment method around the hotel, with everything added up at the end of your stay. It took us a little time as more mature guests to understand how everything worked, but the staff explained the dinner arrangements and facilities very clearly and were very helpful throughout. There was an excellent variety at breakfast, with plenty of choice, and the overall vibe of the hotel feels fresh, energetic, and aimed at a younger crowd looking for a lively atmosphere. As more mature travellers, we personally enjoyed staying during the quieter shoulder season. We think that during the busy summer months it could become quite crowded and noisy, which may not suit everyone, especially if you prefer a calmer environment. That said, for our one-night stay, we had a really positive experience and would happily return again — particularly outside the peak season.

“Great stay, highly recommend.”
We spent 8 nights in Hotel Places by Valamar in Stari Grad. Everything was great: - Perfect location (really close to sea, close to old town and restaurants but far from crowds so you can relax easily), - Perfect weather (2nd half of September). - Clean rooms with TV, AC (we slept in smallest room and maybe for some people it might be too small but we knew it before we arrive. Keep that in mind that it is not NY 5* Hilton Hotel but Hotel Staff works really hard every day to make you stay as comfortable as possible - keep up good work), - Very clean hotel area, pool area, sea area etc. - Nice free activities during our stay (yoga, aqua fitness, etc.) - Food as FlexiBoard option was superb. If you want to eat somewhere else you can do it and your daily money go to next day so you don't loose your money but spent it on different day. Overall - great stay! Highly recommend.
