Overview
A wellness area with a hot tub, a sauna and an indoor swimming pool is provided at Hotel Berg in Staré Splavy, 200 metres from the shore of the Máchovo Jezero Lake. The hotel’s own restaurant serves international cuisine and features a terrace. All rooms come with classic furniture, a seating area and a flat-screen satellite TV. A bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries is also provided in each room. Free Wi-Fi can be used in all rooms and rooms for disabled guests are available. You can work out in Berg’s fitness centre and read books in the on-site library. Table tennis and billiards facilities are provided on site and children can romp around on the hotel’s playground. After a long day, you can request a relaxing massage at Hotel Berg. A breakfast is served daily and can be consumed in the privacy of your own room. Swimming can be enjoyed in the lake and a miniature golf course can be found 200 metres away. Fishing is possible in a small lake located 500 metres from the hotel. The Bezděz Castle is 13 km from the property and the Gothic Houska Castle can be reached within 15 minutes by car. Free private parking is possible in front of the hotel and the closest bus and train station is 300 metres away.

This is a nice hotel located near the lake. We liked the location, the hotel decoration and the spa facilities which are directly in the hotel. In fact, we decided for this hotel because of the spa, as the weather was wet and cold, so it's good to spend an afternoon in a sauna or whirlpool.

“The hotel should not be classified as four star.”

We are returning customers. It was our 14th or15 th stay in this hotel. And we are sure, we will be back here in a short period of time. Perfect hotel, kitchen, spa and a wonderful staff. Everything was just perfect, even the weather:) We recommend this place for relaxing stays whenever.

“Good location and nice staff, but facilities are okay at best”
Very close to the lake (although calling this "beachfront" is a bit excessive!), the receptionist was very gentle and I appreciated the proactiveness in calling us in advance to ask if we wanted to join for dinner. One of the people in the party needed gluten-free meals and they tried their best to accommodate the request. The suite was fairly large with a comfortable view from the balcony.

“next perfect stay in this hotel… we will be back for sure”
Everything worked just perfect, as always in this hotel. This is a perfect płace for the rest from everyday life and battery charge for the next months:) Very good restaurant with plenty of bottles of a very good wine, nice and silent surrounding and a perfect spa area. We didn’t need anything more.

“WEEKEND AWAY FROM THE CITY”
The Staff here are really what makes the hotel. Location right next to lake and walking path. If not many guests wellness is really good. Good selection of 4 sauna. Breakfast was ok.
