Amazing stay! The apartment was spotless, stylish, and equipped with everything possibly needed. One of the best host ever, Otto, went above and beyond — truly exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended!

“Perfect stay for a pre-wed photoshoot”

Otto, fully stocked up the fridge with food and drinks. The wine fridge was stocked up and had champagne, prosecco, red and white wine. We didn't have to leave the place to go and buy food which saved us a lot of money! I am pescatarian and he provided salmon and fish fillet! There was veg and non veg food stocked up. He has a lot of seasoning too! It is a 15 min walk from Stalden-Saas station, however if Otto is around he will pick you up or drop you off. We came here as we wanted to do a pre-wed photo shoot. The owner has lots of connections including having a helipad on his property. So we did a Zermatt helicopter tour for 1,000 CHF. I would definitely come back with just me and my partner to relax as we were so busy with out photoshoot.

Otto is great, he accommodated all of my requests for food and drinks, the place has an amazing view and wherever you go you won't be disappointed. Our pilot was very fun, can't recommend it enough.

The host of this place Otto is a very energetic, hospitable and generous person. He tries not just meet your expectations, but exceed them, that’s why we felt like very welcomed guests. Otto picked us up from the train station, drove to supermarket in Visp, and he also offered to drive us to nice cosy restaurant in mountains but we decided not to go and relax in lodge. We had everything - fridge full with food, Lindt chocolates and drinks, 2 big TVs with Netflix, nice terrace, great sound system, comfortable bed and as a present to bring home - bottle of champaign. It was great stay and we hope to return again! Thank you, Otto!

everything. this place really amazing also the owner very friendly he took us to zermatt by his car . also he put many food in the fridge. he’s generous and humble person. the place is very nice and so beautiful view and you can make trip by helicopter after arrangement with the owner. thank you the black rock. Our host Otto! And of course the property is brilliant too☺️ Lots of technology, thoughtful use of space, and fantastic outdoor area. We stayed after several days of backpacking and we’re so very grateful to find a stocked fridge, washing machine, Otto’s kindness and hospitality!

“Exceptional stay at Blackrock”

Loved everything about the apartment. It was spotlessly clean. We were greeted by Lara and Nina with a lovely glass of wine and that set the tone for a fantastic stay. This luxury apartment has everything; a comfortable bed, a rain shower, Japanese toilet, outside bath/shower with great views, barbecue, fully equipped kitchen including Miele coffee machine and fully stocked fridge and cupboards (more food than you can eat!). There is also a stocked wine cabinet! Let’s not forget the sauna and the reclining chairs to watch Netflix on a mega screen! Had lovely chats with the owner Otto who puts all his love and hospitality into making his guests feel at home and giving them an exceptional experience. Stalden is the ideal location for hikes and excursions into the Matter and Saas valleys and Blackrock is the place to stay!! Worth every penny!

“Prefect stop close to Zermatt”

Unusual place. It's not a hotel, just few apartments, close to Zermatt. Apartments are very modern and high tech, even you have your own sauna in the room, outdoors shower, sophisticated grill, full prof Miele appliances etc. In the apartment (and fridge) you can find anything you can think about, including ice cream, hot dogs, salad and local wines :) never seen so well stocked place. If you have a wish and budget, a host can give you a ride to Matterhorn by helicopter :) if it's too expensive take a car and go up to see a nice view and experience a great road. 10/10.
